I think cases will be presented one at a time against someone, evidence will be presented, and then we’ll debate about it?

Then I’d like to present the case of Rumple vs EF…. the charge, Rumple creating a curse of mass destruction and conspiracy on a mass scale.

The funny thing is… We are all witnesses to whatever crimes we discuss here 😛

Maybe we should just keep witnesses to characters in the show?

However, that means that any of Rumple’s crimes before Regina’s birth wouldn’t have a trial since there are no witnesses still alive to testify against Rumple and you can’t convict someone on hearsay. The only Rumple crime that could be brought up before that time would probably be the Milah murder/severing Hook’s hand. But again that would be Rumple’s word against Hook and the only witness Smee is currently a rat somewhere in Storybrooke.

Case 1: Snow White is accused of murdering Cora.

    Evidence: Cora is dead

    Witnesses: Regina, Rumple, Snow, Charming

Regina’s Statement: Snow White murdered my mother. She gave me my mother’s heart and said that if I put it back in my mother’s chest, my mother would love me again. Upon reinstalling my mother’s heart, my mother died. It was all Snow White’s fault.

Rumple’s Statement: Cora was trying to kill me and would’ve killed Snow’s entire family too. There was no other alternative to stop Cora. Snow acted in self defence.

Snow’s statement: I’m so sorry for what I did. My actions caused Cora’s death. Cora and Regina were determined to hurt my family. I didn’t know what to do. I took Rumple’s advice on using the candle to stop Cora and to save him. Rumple has been of great assistance to my family over the years. He was integral to stopping Pan, which may not have been possible without him. I felt terrible over what I did, and my husband and I tried to stop Regina from going through with putting Cora’s heart back in her chest but we were too late. Cora was dead when we got to Gold’s shop.

Charming’s statement: When I found Snow outside Regina’s vault she was very distressed over what she’d just done. We rushed to Gold’s shop to try and prevent Regina from putting Cora’s heart back in Cora’s chest. Unfortunately, we were too late. Cora had tried to kill us all though. She wanted to kill Rumplestiltskin and become the dark one herself, had Snow not done what she did, I believe Storybrooke would’ve been at risk from Cora. Snow did what she had to do.

Case 1: Snow White is accused of murdering Cora.

Well, one big issue right off the bat: I think you’ve let our several key witnesses because this is not a case inside a bubble. There were events that LED to the murder of Cora. It did not happen out of thin air but was a series of choices made by others. You have to give juries the full scope because just based on the statements above, sans context of the previous episodes, I’d say Snow was guilty but I don’t agree with that in actuality when I watch the show.

You need Emma at the very least. Neal can be excused because we are now post 315. I’d say you need Hook too since he is sympathetic (at the time of the incident) to revenge and Cora’s plight.

You need Mulan and Aurora who testify to Cora’s murdering of the entire safe haven and Zombie resurrection.

You’d need her subjects in WL because they might argue that she was taking power out of the hands of a dangerous man (Rumple) for the protection of their land (this however cannot be established canonically in show)

You need Archie because she “killed” him in the guise of Regina.

You’re presenting only the Miller’s Daughter without presenting the full weight of Cora’s history with the witnesses.
