This article states Belle will take a more prominent role in the 2nd half of the season! YES!
[adrotate group="5"]March 12, 2014 at 7:02 pm #252433RumplesGirlKeymasterAfter a three-month hiatus, season three of “Once Upon a Time” returned to airwaves Sunday night, princes, princesses and all. One main character, however, remained missing from the midseason premiere’s magical lineup: Rumpelstiltskin (Rumple) and his Storybooke alter ego, Mr. Gold.

You Won’t Believe How Thin These LEDs AreDespite fans excitement over the introduction of the Wicked Witch, the series newest villain (wicked always wins!), OUAT fans haven’t been quiet in sharing their concerns that actor Robert Carlyle’s character may not return from the hit ABC program following his battle to the death (or so we thought) with Peter Pan during the midseason three finale in December. Fortunately for “Once Upon a Time” fans, co-creators/producers behind the ABC series, Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis, and series lead, Jennifer Morrison, have since stepped forward to discuss the villainous character’s noticeable absence.
So will Rumple come back from the dead? While Rumplestilskin’s main squeeze Belle (Emilie de Ravin) briefly mentioned the possibility of his return during Sunday’s night episode, Horowitz and Kitsis were coy when recently discussing the Dark One’s fate on the series. “In episode 13 the Dark One’s fate will be heavily explored,” the duo told E! News last week. “You should never underestimate the tricks that are always up Rumpelstiltskin’s sleeves.”
Fortunately for fans, Morrison, who plays savior Emma Swan, was more forthcoming in spoiling the return of Carlyle’s character. “It’s always complicated on our show,” Morrison told Entertainment Weekly Sunday, later confirming that Rumple will make an unexpected comeback in OUAT. “I can say he returns in an unexpected way, and the way that he is still alive makes someone else a hero and also really impacts the mindset of Rumpelstilskin,” she said.
While Rumple fans may be excited about his impending return from the dead, Rumbelle fans, the “shippers” behind Rumple and his leady lady Belle’s romance, are also rumored to be satisfied following the premiere of future episodes. “Just remember: Even after death, true love always wins. Always,” OUAT producers told E! News.
Even without Rumple in her life, OUAT producers have since shared that Belle will take on a more prominent role in the second half of season three. According to from the Hollywood Reporter, Belle’s character arc will keep her close to Rumple’s estranged son Neal (Michael Raymond-James). “You’re going to start seeing her come into her own by using her brain,” added Kitisis.
“Once Upon a Time” airs Sundays on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 13, 2014 at 12:19 am #252522betsypaige24ParticipantJust FYI, this site is like another Examiner – all they do is summarize.
They essentially took everything from the E On-Line spoiler article (15 questions) and added their own speculation. I love how they added that comment about Rumbellers being satisfied when the article they got their info from never said or suggested that.
Not only that, but the part about TL always winning, even after death, was something Leanna Aguilera, the E On-Line reporter, wrote…..it was not something Adam and Eddy said to her (though as certain as she sounded, they may have sent a strong message).
I just wanted to give a heads up…………..Not knocking you, Angie, at all – it’s why I hate sites like this; they’re very misleading.
Anyhow, I’m skeptical all over again, but I hope everyone else is excited!
March 13, 2014 at 1:44 am #252526angiebelleParticipantThe line about Belle coming into her own was a direct quote. Good enough for me. I’m really excited for Belle’s arc this season, and I believe we’ll get some great RumBelle stuff too. I think Belle is going to be a hero.
March 13, 2014 at 8:20 am #252528betsypaige24ParticipantYes, that’s true……
I do think Belle will be a hero – there’s no other way for Gold/Rumbelle story to go (well either he has to save himself or Belle……..anyone else just wouldn’t do).
Hmm, I guess we’ll have to see about Rumbelle. I’m not sure if they’ll find him in FTL, but in SB, at least until 316, Gold must be imprisoned so that no one else knows he’s alive/in town. After that, it’s hard to say. I wouldn’t think that the WW would control him 24/7, but if she’s not, then she still might imprison him rather than let him walk around). If that’s the case, maybe Belle will figure out where he’s being kept.
I just hope they break his curse (really, there’s just no point to it after this) and that if they do, or if Rumbelle really reunites, it’s not squeezed in as if it’s no big deal. It’s important that they do justice to any reunion after all this.
