I have a somewhat crack-pot theory, but so far I haven’t seen anyone else come up with it. What if the man in Belle’s vision isn’t really Belle’s son, Gideon, but, rather, the grown up son of Jack and Jill? Something just seems off with him. After all, a changeling isn’t just a child taken by a fairy, but rather “a child believed to have been secretly substituted by fairies for the parents’ real child in infancy.”
I found it incredibly odd how the man in Belle’s vision said, “Remember the book” (paraphrase). It struck me as very peculiar since how would he know about the book? It made me wonder if he isn’t her son but is really Jack and Jill’s son from the EF flashback — the one to whom Belle read the story Her Handsome Hero when she took care of him at the dark castle. Why else would he have said “remember the book” — which doesn’t really make sense unless Belle had read it to him. Could adult “Gideon” (aka Morpheus) be an imposter?
I wonder if the Black Fairy somehow collected Jack and Jill’s infant son after Belle returned him to his parents, he grew up and now wants revenge on the Dark One for stealing him in infancy and summoning the Black Fairy in the first place.
Well there’s that pesky interview quote where Adam and Eddy confirmed that “Morpheus” really is Rumbelle’s son. It wasn’t an answer that could necessarily be twisted, either.
I imagine Jack, Jill and their baby were one offs that will never been seen from again. I think this episode title was called “Changelings” just to refer to the whole fairies kidnapping babies thing, and nothing more.

Given that they had no lines at all, I agree.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"November 29, 2016 at 9:45 am #330898RumplesGirlKeymasterSo where did Blue Fairy go…? Did she cross the town line? Or did she cross realms? I really am confused on this (and unlike some other questions, I do think we’ll get answers to this)
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"November 29, 2016 at 10:10 am #330900thedarkonedearieParticipantUnfortunately, I think the answer won’t be as exciting. So Belle gave birth at the nunnery right? Not the hospital for some odd reason….or was it the hospital? Anyway, my guess is Blue just took him somewhere else in Storybrooke. If we are supposed to potentially see Blue again in the next episode, I doubt she went outside Storybrooke. I reaaaaalllly hope it’s somewhere we haven’t seen before that only Blue knows about, even if it is still in Storybrooke but I really don’t trust the writers to pull that off.
Places that quickly come to mind:
– The well. It hasn’t been used in awhile but we know it’s magical and can be used as a portal.
– Agrabah. Perhaps she got the sorcerer’s wand from Zelena and went to another realm not knowing what it would be. And it turns out it’s Agrabah.
– The nunnery. If Belle gave birth in the hospital, Blue could have just taken Gideon to her house.
– The cave where they found the true love sapling. Perhaps she takes Gideon there (we know she knows where it is bc she located it for Snowing and Regina already) and Rumple can only pass and get in if he truly loves his son and wants the best for him.
– The caves below the clock tower. Seems like a good place to hide out.
– Rumple cuts them off mid flight and takes the child before they can hide.
– Black Fairy’s residence. Blue, knowing Rumple is after the child, and knowing Black Fairy is Rumple’s mother, may use the Black Fairy to manipulate Rumple and to protect the child.
– The mines. Perhaps she enlists the help of the dwarves. Dumb but who knows.
– Granny’s. Bc why not?
– The docks….grasping at straws now. Maybe on Hook’s ship.
– Boston or New York…someplace outside of Storybrooke. I would say to go see the dragon but he be stuck in Mirror Land.
November 29, 2016 at 10:40 am #330904hjbauParticipantI don’t think that anyone can go out of Storybrooke into the Land Without Magic because the Evil Queen put up a barrier. They were definitely at the nuns home, not at the hospital. If Gideon is actually Morpheus then he is going to get a lot older in time for the next episode, so i think it makes more sense that he went somewhere else. Though, i sort of agree that they probably won’t show where the blue fairy took him and because he ages up so fast it won’t matter.
Honestly, i am still on the edge about whether or not i believe that Gideon and Morpheus are the same person. If the writers hadn’t said it explicitly, there is no way i would think it was true. Even if it is true, then Morpheus is being manipulated by someone, somehow.

Yeah like how on Earth is Gideon going to be older by the next episode? I get they are doing the AU thing, but huh? I’m not sure I understand how that happens unless someone magically makes it happen. But Blue wouldn’t do that. Belle wouldn’t do that. Rumple certainly doesn’t want that. Neverland makes people not age……is there a place that makes people age that Blue could have taken Gideon? Is there a magical macguffin that happens to DO babies? Perhaps the child is already magically gifted (we saw Zelena move a tree) that he is able to age himself?

Maybe, though one wonders why Blue would take the infant to that place knowing what it would do. It’s not like Rumple would age if the journeyed there trying to find Gideon.

she probably went to some apartment in NY, that everyone always go, but so far still wasnt explained how is possible for that apartment still exist.

Here’s a random crack theory, but you never know with this show:
Blue travels in time with Gideon using the Black Fairy’s wand, if it’s established that it was the Black Fairy’s wand that Rumple had Emma use at the end of Season 3 to re-open the time portal. The props match, but they never confirmed if they were indeed meant to be the same. If it really was the same wand, then it can recreate any magic. Blue could have thought that when, not where, was the best place to hide Gideon from Rumple. Then Gideon grows up and re-emerges in present day. Only problem with this theory is that only the ones who used the time portal were able to recreate it, which was why Rumple himself couldn’t. So if this theory comes to pass, either the writers will forget this technicality, or they have some way around it. After all, they got around Regina initially not being able to use the Apprentice’s wand by having her simply say “I didn’t believe in myself enough last time”.
November 29, 2016 at 2:28 pm #330917MattParticipantYeah like how on Earth is…
In relation to the rest of the sentence that you tagged as a spoiler (it wouldn’t let me quote without unhiding that text):
Will he definitely be older in present day? The only scene I am aware of him having shot was the one where he is revealed to be under the hood and that could just be them shooting more pieces of the puzzle for vision sequences.
