So Belle gave birth at the nunnery right? Not the hospital for some odd reason….or was it the hospital?
Convents often have birthing centers ( unwed mothers) as nuns are often nurses or midwives so for me it is not unusual to give birth there. Giving birth in hospitals is a newer phenomenon of the mid 1900s … prior to that women gave birth at home.

I do agree with that.
I think that would be a stupid thing to do…. GOLD KNOWS BELLE VERY WELL … it would not take much for him to figure out that is what she would do… she bragged about the book many times…. remember her giving it to GUSTAVE.

My assumption was that it was a fairy godmother thing, in terms of her placing her protection over him and/or connecting herself to him as his fairy godmother? Perhaps being his fairy godmother grants her certain abilities, such as always being able to locate him, hearing his call if he is in trouble etc?
