Okay, so we know Once has been known for bending its characters a bit, right? And it’s been speculation that Oz may be the next Land up on Once’s list. Well I got to thinking yesterday ( I mentioned this on the chat) that if the characters go to Oz, what kind of state would it be in? The Wicked Witches are dead and the Wizard is gone. So who’s ruling Oz? Perhaps Glinda… And that is probably the way she planned it….
My theory is this: Glinda is much like the Blue Fairy, a face of pure goodness, with their true intentions hidden way beneath their ridiculous dresses 🙂 I believe she orchestrated the murder of both the witches and the leaving of the Wizard Of Oz. Lets get started shall we 🙂
Dorothy drops outta the sky and kills the Wicked Witch of The East. Then here comes old bubbly Glinda and next The Wicked Witch of The West. And what does Glinda, the Good do?
While the Wicked Witch is busy threatening Dorothy, Glinda interjects, not to defend a shell-shocked farm girl, but to remind WWotW of the ruby slippers on her sister’s feet. Now this is important: as far as we can tell, the Wicked Witch of the West is the Wicked Witch of the East’s one and only family member, meaning that the slippers rightfully belong to her as the next of kin. So, why didn’t Glinda just let the lady have her shoes? Instead, Glinda reveals that she’s only reminded the Wicked Witch about the slippers so she can involve Dorothy in a game of monkey in the middle — teleporting the bereaved Witch’s rightful heirloom off her dead sister’s feet and onto Dorothy’s.
Glinda puts the shoes on Dorothy knowing that A)The witch will go after her and B) they can only be removed when Dorothy is dead. This is the first hint that Glinda is a bit of B— well, a very bad woman >>
And to top off everything else she’s done, Glinda then mocks the Wicked Witch, laughing at the fact that she apparently has no power in Munchkinland, before telling her to get lost. By this point, the Witch is good and pissed, and Glinda has ensured that she’s completely focused all of her well deserved rage on Dorothy. As the scene ends, the rivalry between the Wicked Witch and Dorothy has been set, even though they should both be pissed at Glinda
Glinda sends Dorothy off on this journal to the Wizard, along the way killing the witch in the process. After they return, the wizard accidently leaves Dororthy behind. And then…
we find out that the entire fiasco could have ended the moment Glinda put the ruby slippers on Dorothy; she was literally walking around in her ticket to instant transport back to her own bed. Glinda’s excuse for not telling Dorothy before she was nearly killed and offed Glinda’s rival? “You wouldn’t have believed me!”
What the pudding, Glinda? You tell her this NOW???
Oh wait, of course she tell her now. After Dorothy kills the witches of the east and west, and then the Wizard is gone, Glinda is the last powerful magical person in all of Oz. Which is how she planned it to be. She can now allow Dororthy to go home because she has served her purpose and eliminated all the competition, without Glinda having to get her hands dirty.
I think that when we go to Oz, Glinda will welcome whomever comes along with a smile and a kiss on the forehead but secretly be plotting against them. Just like that darn blue fairy. Maybe even to take the power of The Dark One so she can be more powerful.
Behold the face of evil. BEHOLD IT:

I like it. It seems very ONCE to take someone who is supposed to be wholly good and mess them up a bit, give them some sort of psychological trouble that has made them “evil”

It shows her blowing the tornado when Dorothy came to Oz

It had a pink dress, a high crown like hers, and maybe a long wand. Cam anyone get screenshots of that? Maybe Neal really has been to Oz and its foreshadowing

Blue also suggested banishing Regina to a different land. What if the land Blue banished the Black Fairy to was Oz????? She could have used her powers to appear as a “good” witch rather than fairy and manipulated a lot of things as she seems to do in the 1939 film

Hm….interesting.
I like the idea that Neal went through Oz out of NL, that Glinda was powerful enough to help him escape Pan and she was the one who told him how to use the shadow, that it wasn’t necessarily part of Pan’s plan.  It’s all just a bit murky though whether Pan thought he had to jut freeze Bae long enough to meet a girl born of true love, or what was going on . Maybe Pan was being manipulated, er helped by Glinda? If SHE told him certain things, glimpsing the future, maybe that explains August’s “little fairy” comment too.  Just how did Tink end up in NL anyway?
Did Glinda send her there from wherever Tink was banished too when kicked out of the fairy-kind?“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
