I keep wondering how Rumpel will react. We know that he didn’t react to hearing that Belle was dead in the fairytale land. Like he didn’t go after Belle’s father then. And while he did take her father’s truck in the real world he only beat him up once he thought he took the cup. Rumpel might keep it cool about Belle though maybe not because for him to learn she is alive and then lose her again might actually make him go completely off the deep in in the moment.
I just don’t see how they can have Belle walking around town alive. Either Belle will stay in the dungeon at the hospital or she will be killed or she will be sent out of this world, but i don’t see Belle and Rumpel walking around town all nice together. That doesn’t seem like a good way for the plot to go, in my opinion.

The writers want the show more than 2 season, so I doubt the they’ll give Belle and Gold their happy ending right now. We’re gradually seeing a power shift in Storybrooke. Ever sense Emma came to town, Regina has been slowly losing her power. So, if Belle wants to live in Storybrooke, that wish may come true. Regina’s power is slipping. Besides, she’ll have the protection of Mr. gold on her side.
And I doubt the writers will have us wait all season for Belle’s return only to have her die as soon as she walks out of the mental ward.
April 10, 2012 at 5:00 pm #141725an empty heartParticipantI think Mr. Gold will ask Emma to either help him rescue Belle or find his son Baelfire.
And I agree Midnight Dreary, Belle’s not going anywhere anytime soon. So, no worries. 😀
April 10, 2012 at 5:36 pm #141732Daniel J. LewisKeymasterI hope the writers don’t kill her off. I know she’s only been in two episodes, but I already love her. And it wouldn’t make sense for the writers to kill her off anyway. Why keep her hidden all season only to kill her off in the season finale? I think the writers have something very big for Belle. She’s central to Rumpel’s story, and the key to getting his loyalty. If Regina ever hurts Belle than she’s just created the greatest enemy she’ll ever have. 😯
Besides, I think Belle will reveal soemthing very important about the curse in the season finale. If she does have all of her memories, then she probably has some insight into the inner workings of the curse. Maybe she’ll give Emma some much needed information that Jefferson couldn’t give her…You know, sense they kicked him out of the window and all. 😆
I think the writers just gave a recent interview about how important Belle’s role will be in the finale. Hold on, let me go find it…
I’M BACK!!! 😆 Here’s the link:

April 10, 2012 at 6:52 pm #141741hjbauParticipantBelle might not die this season though i could still see that happening, but eventually. We have no idea whether or not Belle and Rumpel will meet again this season. Belle might just speak to Emma or Rumpel may think someone else killed Belle beside Regina. There are a lot of things they could do there.
I think though the fact that Regina has kept Belle prisoner for 28 years is enough that Belle is never going to be on Regina’s side. Though i really don’t see how she could be on Rumpel’s side after all that happened either. At least not right away. All i am saying is i don’t see how the character fits as a regular at this point.
April 11, 2012 at 1:53 am #141792killianhookfanParticipantI agree with hjbau that I don’t think Belle is going to be a series regular. Besides the fact that I haven’t heard anything about her coming back for season 2 (at some point they talked about her coming back in season 2 but then I never heard anything else about it again) I think it is way too early in the series for Gold to change his personality and be hanging out with Belle. He can’t change his reputation in SB and the only way I can see him having any kind of relationship with Belle would require him to go back to acting how he behaved with her when they were alone at his castle in FTL – and that goes totally against his SB personality.
I’m not saying Belle will never be a series regular, hopefully she will be sometime in the future – and I also don’t see them killing her off since they discussed bringing her back in season 2. Just knowing that Belle is alive and that he can’t have her can be enough to create internal conflict in Gold without needing to have Belle present in every episode – it can drive decisions he makes and affect his relationship with Emma and Regina. And then if they can work it out to get Emilie back for some episodes they will be that much more exciting for everyone!
April 12, 2012 at 3:35 am #141867enchantedoneParticipantI think that the Evil Queen is going to be pushed to the brink by Emma and she will use her trump card, which is Belle, to get Mr. Gold to get Emma out of town. And in order to protect Belle Gold will use his “favor” to ask Emma to leave. I’m hoping that Jefferson pops out of his hat and stops her somehow.
We know that the last episode is called a land without magic. We also know that Emma has magic, maybe there is no more magic in storeybrook because Emma is leaving…total speculation but it could happen.
April 12, 2012 at 9:34 pm #141932charmingParticipantI think it has something to with Emma being Sheriff. What Mr. Gold said after she won the election suggests that she will be in a better position to honor that deal made. I do not have the exact quote and I may have to rewatch those episodes. When the deal was first struck he said nothing to the affect but during and after the election he made reference back to the deal.
April 13, 2012 at 12:35 am #141955hjbauParticipantThat is interesting charming. What power does Emma have now that she is Sheriff?
April 13, 2012 at 12:57 am #141959dorothyParticipantShe has the legit power of the law on her side. As long as she has probable cause, she could investigate anything Regina does. Sheriff’s can ruin people’s lives too.
