Regina does not seem to be impeding Rumpel’s efforts. I think that whatever Rumpel is doing has to do with Emma and that Rumpel is only getting rid of Regina because she is causing problems for Emma and not because he cares about Regina. At least what we have seen so far does not seem to suggest that Rumpel cares at all about beating Regina just that he wants her to not cause problems for him.

As i have said i also think that it seems like Gold is going to tell Emma to leave town. I still don’t understand why she would agree to leave town though. Even if she believes and knows who Rumpel is, i still think she would say no i am not leaving Henry. I imagine that Rumpel is going to have to threaten her to get her to leave town.
Yeah, but I doubt Emma would back down from a threat. And Mr. Gold is way too smart to make an direct attack or threat on someone. He tends to work on the down-low. He’s not like Regina.

She singular minded and singular goaled. No happy endings. Rumple/ Gold’s evil is spawned on the intent of someone he loves and becomes the victim of the very thing he acquired that he’d hope could help him. Rumple is multifacted and of not singular mind, it is not to say he does not have one endgame. I believe he does. It matters not how he gets there or which road it follows as long as it gets there. His power comes from taking and letting them know he is taking; while Regina just wants to eliminate. that is the difference between the two of them. After the revenge is complete I believe she will be completely unless. People who seek revenge will spend their entire life making sure it happens and do not know what to do with themselves after they have reached that goal. Most all of their efforts have been focused on revenge they think of nothing else.

There are some threats that Gold could make that Emma would have to take seriously like if she found out that something would happen to Henry or Mary if she didn’t leave town.

Which leads me to question whether or not Bae is Henry’s father. The way he feels about Bae and would not let anything happen to Bae why would he threaten Mary or Henry if there is even a remote connection to himself??
April 24, 2012 at 12:28 pm #143674hjbauParticipantEven if Henry is Bae’s son, i do not think Rumpel knows that.

Why would he procure Henry for Regina? which would bring Emma to SB and cause him to bury the dagger when she arrived? The very fact that Rumple/ Gold doesn’t know Henry is Bae’s son debunks the theory itself. In order for the theory to work he must know.
April 24, 2012 at 6:46 pm #143728hjbauParticipantWhy must he know? There is no need for Rumpel to know anything for him to get Henry. It may be Emma that sends Henry to Maine. I am still hoping for that. I would much rather it be someone else then Rumpel.
And if like you are saying Rumpel has his memories then he would get Henry because he is Emma’s son. There is no reason for him to know who the father is. Why would he care? Though i don’t think that Rumpel knew always. Though i should just assume it is the obvious and Rumpel and not because of Emma that Henry found his way back to Storybrooke.

So it was just an unlucky coincidence he got Henry for Regina and Emma comes to town to undo everything? When in Rumple’s life was there ever an unlucky coincidence before or after he became the dark one. That would negate his ability of foresight which allowed him to always be one step ahead of every single person he has encountered. Look either he knew about Henry being Bae’s son and he planned it all or Henry’s father is just some random deadbeat and it was to get Emma here. You can’t have it both ways and they cannot at this point without any confirmation be the same. Where is the proof or remote proof to Bae being Henry’s dad other than the age can match and him possibly being in this world. That is what this theory is based on and the rest is “wishful thinking”. If Bae is Henry’s Dad or anyone hopes for that it is like hoping this show jumps the shark and I do not want that. It does not add up for Bae to be Henry’s dad and makes no sense for that to be remotely possible at this point at least.
