I think I finally cracked the mystery of Jen Mo’s spoiler. It was so cryptic, but I just had an epiphany while in the shower.

Based on the promo, I think that Neal tries to protect his father and is himself attacked. That makes him a hero – and it makes Gold still alive. As to impacting Gold’s mindset? I think that this will snap him out of his madness, make him especially determined to see not only that his son didn’t die in vain, but to protect Belle with everything he has. I think maybe he’ll realize he….if not forgot them, then didn’t hold onto the hope of seeing them again as much as he should have, and we will see the Gold we know and love. Now, of course he’s still controlled so that’s where Belle comes in. We know they encounter each other (first time?) in the street, where he looks almost resigned and she looks so sad…..could be about Neal, about the state Gold is in, anything. Point is, Gold needs a hero and Belle hopefully will be that one

 I can say that he returns in an unexpected way, and the way that he is still alive makes someone else a hero, and also really impacts the mindset of Rumpelstiltskin.

Except Neal didn’t die as he is clearly in SB talking in the forest with Emma long after Rumple was brought back.

The only thing this spoiler makes me think is that somehow Pan did something to redeem himself aka sacrifice himself wherever Rumple and Pan went when they “died”.
