Someone on twitter just asked Adam directly if Belle/Emilie would still be a major player in season 3, and he said yes! So they couldn’t possibly be abandoning Storybrooke altogether! I know we have had some other hints and such, but it’s nice to see it directly confirmed. Fingers crossed that we get some great Belle stuff with storylines that are not always about Rumple. Do my all time favorite fairytale character justice, OuaT!

One of the biggest complaints I see about her is that she’s nothing but Rumple’s GF/TL which just isn’t true. She’s so much more, so yes. Bring on Mayor Queen Belle!

Agreed that she’s so much more, but they haven’t played that angle well. She’s been mostly that in season 2, the flashback scenes from The Outsider being a notable exception.
My head theory is that the first 6 episodes will find Belle running SB, keeping law and order, and keeping everyone safe. Then she goes after Bae like I proposed here. EdR will rock the storyline in both SB and FTL.

Agree on this angle. I’m thinking they might ping pong the secondary plot of the episodes between Belle and Bae to account for time in Neverland moving far faster than FTL’s or SB’s. In this scenario, Belle would be featured in, say, episodes 2, 4 and 6 and Bae on 3, 5 and 7, with the premiere featuring everyone. By episode 8 at most I hope Belle and Bae’s stories have already been merged in a journey to join their family in NL,

BEEN thinking about this … the library is full of magic books… shelf upon shelf of them….. Could Belle or other inhabitants of SB learn magic to match Regina and/ or RUMPLE? Belle might need to learn magic to keep food and needed items to come to SB as Regina had before as mayor.
IF I was there and had been bossed around or bullied by them that would be one of the first things I would learn… so I could protect myself.
What do you all think… Could everyone come back to a town full of magic.
