so in the podcast y’all were talking about good vs evil and splitting personalities (jekyll v Hyde, Regina v Evil Queen) and needing to merge back together for resolution… that there needs to be balance between good and evil and that no one can be one thing.  my question or thought that i wanted to pose is that all darkness was removed from emma and placed into lily.  though it wasnt a person, per se, but emma did have that darkness removed from her being.  if wonder if this will go into a “your questions are pointless” realm, but the concepts are so similar–and something that the dark swan really didnt answer.

Yeah, I’m not sure what they would do with Emma. The problem is that Evil!Emma wasn’t part of “Emma” in the same sense that the EQ is simply part of Regina. Emma was infected with Darkness and it was removed from her, but it was never part of her over all damage/psyche. Regina’s EQ comes out as part of who Regina simply *is* because the EQ was born during moments of heartache, loneliness and despair. The closest they can come with Emma is pre-S1 and S1 Emma, when she was jaded and aloof. But that’s not evil the same way that the EQ is “evil.”

If the rest of the town/characters are somehow infected with Jekyll/Hyde’s potion, I suspect there will be some sort of handwave that makes Emma “immune” to it because “Savior!”

very true, im just wondering if they will need to place what was put into lily back into emma–its not the body, but the concept is similar–the message initially being that the darkness is bad and the light good.  emma had a different darkness put into her with being the dark one, but all of her capacity for darkness is technically in lily still.

I’m really interested in taking the idea of splitting and seeing it play out in season 6. I think we have build up to it throughout season 5. Looking back we saw Emma literally get split from from the dark one, same with hook. We saw snow separate herself from Mary Margaret symbolically.  We saw David rid himself of his twin/ split James. Rumple started out the season on a blank slate because all the darkness and all that jazz so it would be interesting to see him go through a split. I do hope that we see in the end life isn’t black or white or good and evil, there are shades of gray and those who can balance both their good and bad qualities will succeed. Perhaps Emma is the one to find that balance and can be the one powerful enough to yield all the good and bad magic like Merlin said someone round be able to

its late I hope this made sense
