One thing tho, we see that FireFly is alive and being tested on. So one can think Jerome is very much alive and being tested on so that when he emerge he would have his signature face and look. And A new hatred for all Authority. I know in one of the origin’s stories. Joker is betrayed by someone he is working for to get that face. So one can say Theo is that person. Therefore if they want to surprise us with a Jerome is not really dead they very much can. Depending on rights and stuff. LOL (Seriously I sure we wont get Jerome and Leto’s version of Joker mixed up. Have you seen LETO’s Joker. Yeah like really. We can have both!)
This!!!! I think Jerome’s coming back!
I’ve got the strangest feeling that Selina’s going to be the one to take Tabby down! Surely, she of all people will learn the hectic plot Galavan is pulling on Bruce, and nine times out of ten Alfred won’t believe her until he does his own investigation, and by then it’s going to be too late as something is going to go down. They teased with Bruce wanting to kill someone…but what if the first man he kills is Galavan? Of course, all of this by the season end.

October 28, 2015 at 4:17 pm #311212RumplesGirlKeymasterHowever Theo and Tabby don’t have any depth to them
Theo has some color to him, but Tabby is the worst sort of “sex kitten” cliche there is. She has absolutely no personality except for “sexy” and “brutal.” While that is an okay combination it has to be tempered by something–an interesting backstory, a motivation, a heartbreak. Anything! But she’s really just decoration for her brother’s story. Bothersome on multiple levels. What’s even more troubling is that they’ve turned Barbara into the same sort of decoration for Theo. She started off this season so wonderfully crazy and fascinating, but now she’s reduced to being a prop for both Theo and Tabby to play with.
We have butch who lost his hand and being tortured by Tabitha. (I HATED THAT SO MUCH)
I can be okay with torture as a narrative selling point but I don’t like how it’s being done for comic effect. Pain and torture and psychological breaks can be good drama, but not when the reason behind it is to get a chuckle from your audience–like Tabby whipping Butch or his new mallet hand.
Also I did not like Kristen dying.
I want to see how they handle Ed after Kristen’s death before I decide how I feel about her death. If they sweep it under the rug and make it just relevant for one episode, then it was way too soon–the relationship should have been built more. But if this is the thing that really pushes him to full on villain and we begin to see him seeking out those violent tendencies (mixed with his signature narcissism) then I might be more okay with the abrupt turn around.
So one can think Jerome is very much alive and being tested on so that when he emerge he would have his signature face and look.
Yes I wondered if that’s the route they are going to go.

November 17, 2015 at 1:01 pm #312751PriceofMagicParticipantA good episode so much better than Once right now.
Anyone else notice the Joker graffiti near the beginning of the episode? That was a nice touch. I’m hoping it’s foreshadowing the return of Jerome, but if it’s not, then it’s a nice nod to the continuation of a storyline that has slipped into the background.
I enjoyed Alfred keeping Bruce away from Silver and outsmarting Bruce’s plan. At least Alfred has the brains that Bruce seems to lack. I know Bruce is only a kid but still, you’d think the future Batman would be a bit smarter.
Are the assassins going to keep going after Gordon or is that it now? Because he’s still alive and they supposedly don’t give up until the job is done.
The actress who played Missy in Doctor Who was in this as the head of the assassins!
The Penguin/Nygma team up is going to be awesome.
I think my only complaint about the episode is that we’re supposed to buy that Tabitha feels stongly enough about Barbara that she is willing to go against her brother’s orders for revenge, yet we’ve not seen the build up of an emotional connection between the two.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixDecember 1, 2015 at 9:42 pm #313356RumplesGirlKeymasterOver thoughts over the fall finale, anyone?
–Mostly okay
–Too much time spent on Bruce’s kidnapping which never feels like a real threat because obviously BabyBat isn’t going to die.
–Nice change in tone for Jim Gordon
–Most unromatnic proposal ever
–Nygma and Penguin are my new favorite thing
–Galavan is disgusting. I cannot with the show writing him as sexualizing his niece in such an appalling manner
–Dr. Strange!
–Mr. Freeze….not Victor Fries, but Mr. Freeze already. That’s a new take for the ultimate origin show
–Glad Galavan is dead but they wasted the St. Dumas storyline! Where’s Azrael?
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 3, 2015 at 4:19 pm #313515MatthewPaulModeratorThe Mid-Season finale was alright. I’m glad Galavan was only a half-Season villain, rather than the big bad for both halves. However, why do I get the feeling that all of these dead baddies being experimented on by Hugo Strange at Indian Hill will lead to them all returning later on this Season? Firefly, Galavan, possibly Jerome (if his body was taken there), and more. I admit I actually would be all for Jerome returning, since many of us felt killing him off so early on was a mistake.

Same. That feels like a season 2 ending, after Mr. Freeze and Dr. Strange have been dealt with (though, obviously not for good since BabyBat does have to grow up someday and be BatMan)

Definetly.
Though…I must say Robin Taylor did his thing with this Penguin role!
“I Will Kill You To Get To Him!” ROFL
I’m pretty sure Jim Gordon is forever in Penguin’s good graces, especially since he helped him avenge his mother’s death.
