Nothing is really captivating me either so far. I like Barbara. I like how she basically fills the voids of missing DC characters like Harley Quinn and now Talia Al Ghul. Ed is back so that is good. Jim’s sunglasses and the whole miami thing was hilarious. David Mazouz was awesome in this episode. I loved bratty Bruce. The whole auction scene really was great. And I guess Barbara coming back to life makes sense now….if you believe in magical lazarus pits.

In this reality not so much, lol. But as a long time viewer of the CW’s Arrow (and just comic books in general), I have no problem with the Lazarus Pit (it’s been used there quite liberally). I think I would actually be a little bit angry if they took such an important Ra’s symbol away from this iteration.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 10, 2017 at 6:05 pm #343120MatthewPaulModeratorI do find it strange how now Sophia Falcone is hitting on Jim, considering her brother was Mario, who married Lee. So Mario went for Jim’s ex, and Sophia is going after Lee’s ex. lol!
October 10, 2017 at 11:45 pm #343130PheeParticipantI smell a Jim and Sophia romance coming. I’m down for it (good cop and a mobster’s daughter?!) but please let Sophia be more interesting than Lee.
Well my suspicion is that Falcone’s mystery illness that’s slowly killing him is actually Sofia slowly poisoning him, so that she can take over the family business once he’s gone. That would make her interesting. (And it’d also doom any relationship she has with Jim, but I don’t care, I’m still shipping it regardless. :-P)
October 11, 2017 at 9:41 am #343131Ranisha PittsParticipantSophia reminds me of how Lee was when she had that poison blood in her.
I doom Sophie and Jim and I can not ship them. Because at this point I despise any relationship with Jim that is not the mother to be of B. Gordon. I’m over it. I and I am over him and his romantic life. Sophia and Jim would be amazing and dark twisted ship if not for the whole Lee as his grand love at this time.
Honestly they doing the whole Bruce Wayne with Jim many relationships with him.
If I had to say Bruce have t(wo, three if we count the Dark Knight triology). Catwoman, Talia, and (Rachel).
I think Jim’s big three is Barbara, Lee, and B.Gordon’s mother.
Going to laugh but I have this crack ship of Sophia with that Zsasz, oh its completely twisted. I don’t even want them to be lovers. I just think Zsasz working for Sophia and having some deep extreme loyalty to her to be dark fun. Wait I don’t think that is shipping but more of broship wait that doesn’t work its not broship? Its something but not sure what to call it. Foeship?
Oh and Lee needs to be with Alfred, just let that happen and put an end to Lee and Jim.

So, we finally got to see Benjamin Stockham, but I was under the impression he was going to be recurring. Wondering how this will play out. Could he be dipped in a Lazarus Pit and become a comics character?
Is it just me, or does Sofia look like a cross between Sophie Lowe and Emma Rigby?
Also, Alexander Siddig never ages. Must be…good genetics.
Dark Knight at the Museum!

I’m not even sure what I just watched. What on earth was that Anubis thing? And the weird zombie guy? Ra’s Al Ghul is so bland. He reminds me of Theo Galavan. The whole Nygma and Oswald wanting to kill each other thing is getting reallllllllly tiresome. The best scene for me was honestly Jim seeing Barbara again. For me, this was one of the worst episodes of the series. Did not care for it at all.

HAHAHA!
Some thoughts on 404 “The Demon’s Head”:
–What’s up with Bashir al’ghul’s hair??? It distracted me quite a bit throughout this episode.
–What the ever loving heck is Anubis??
–“Sure. But how do you spell—” LOL nice joke about Bashir al’ghul odd name
–LOL at the “rap riddle.” Geez Ed needs to get his mojo back.
–Nanda Parbat reference–if only Jim could get on the phone to Oliver Queen!
–“Well honestly, that could be any place!” “Can we just torture them now?” “Why not!”
–“Your riddles suck!”
–Overall I thought this episode was just okay. There were some funny bits and I find Ra’s more interesting than some other villains on the show. I’m still loving any and all Ed/Os stuff even if it’s the same beats over and over–they play those beats well and they are still my hate filled, erotic, murder husbands.

A few thoughts:
–There’s an actual place called the Slaughter Swamp. That’s so on the nose, even for Gotham.
–Oh hey, Solomon Grundy…..
–“Man talk too much…”
–Man, Ed’s having a rough day. My poor Ed
–I don’t know if I’d call it a plot twist because “immortal guy wants new heir to end his long life” is a fairly well known trope but I’m glad there’s a bit more to Bashir al’ghul than just mustache twirling villainy.
–Aww, Mama Cobblepot’s goulash
–Where are they going with Penguin and Sophia? I think she’s clearly playing him but I’m going to have issues if Penguin starts to feel romantic feelings for Sophia. He had an attachment to Jim, he was in love with Ed so I didn’t think it was so far out of the realm to call him canonically gay. I guess they could say Os is bi but he’s never really shown any interest in women? I dunno. My red flags just went up.
–Aaaaaaand RIP Bashir al’ghul? Geez. That was quick.
–“I’m not the hero Gotham needs.” Hm, that’s catchy. Could be a catchphrase of some sort. *winks at camera*
–*Sigh* I did not need to see Lee again….
Overall: eh? I still like the Os and/or Ed stuff more than any other plot line, though I’m growing weary of Ed’s silly “stupid Ed” storyline. Baby!Batman and Ra’s came to absolutely nothing! I expected him to be around a lot longer and to have more of an impact on the story.

Ra’s Al Ghul is a credited series regular, so I honestly have my doubts that he is really dead for good. If they were going to quickly kill him off permanently this early on, wouldn’t they have just had him return as a guest star instead of promoting him to a series regular? Something is up, and nobody really dies in Gotham.
