Yeah, I’m pretty sure a memory wipe will be part of the process just as Rumple described when he offered to turn back time for Bae.

Yeah, Rumple’s mention of what he wanted to do to Bae was them establishing that it’s possible, so it won’t seem so completely random when it happens to August in this ep.

And he offered to turn back the clock for Smee, make him a little boy again. So that won’t seem so odd either. Except that from the pics it looks like it’s the BF doing the magic and not Rumple. I call hidden agenda!

If losing August serves the purpose of elaborating on Blue’s shady nature, then it’ll be easier for me to take.

I agree. If it’s some kind of do-good, let him try his life over again thing, I’m not going to be thrilled.

Here people were hoping for a romantic relationship between AWB and Emma, yet, it was always about setting the stage for Henry and Pino’s friendship. These creators and writers are billiant!

March 7, 2013 at 4:02 pm #177885TheGoldenKeyParticipantI mentioned this over in a spoiler thread for 2×16 The Miller’s Daughter. I’m really starting to wonder if AWB isn’t the major death, of one of their own, that they’ve been talking about. I can see AWB giving up his life and finally doing something selfless, brave and true. This could easily tie into the whole Snow and candle thing so that Gold gets to survive. Perhaps AWB is feeling guilty for how he deceived Gold so horribly back in 1×18, The Return, that he gives up his life in order to save Gold”s in 2×18. Or maybe Cora or Reggie managed to get a hold of his heart and they set Snow up to think it was Cora’s.
We don’t need Eion in 2×16 as we’d be dealing with a wooden puppet so they only need a stand in, green suit and the use of animation.
We still don’t know what happened to AWB since he ran out of Granny’s. (loved how that little slip came out at Paleyfest). Maybe Reggie or Cora got a hold of him.
If a wooden boy could have enough heart to save his father, maybe a heart can be extracted from a wooden AWB.
I can easily see them setting this up as a death at the end of 2×16, The Miller’s Daughter and leaving us hanging with 2×17, Welcome to Storybrooke (retro week in 1983 SB) until 2×18, Selfless, Brave and True where we resume modern day SB and we see AWB’s final fate.
A dead woodend Pinocchio was transformed into a real living boy so a dead wooden AWB certainly could as well.
Anyway, just a thought as I think it would tie in both episodes so nicely. Plus it wouldn’t leave Snow with a blackened heart either as he really didn’t die in theory because he comes back as a 7 year old.

Maybe, but since we do that Eion is coming back in 2×18 it seems unlikely that they’d kill him off in Miller’s Daughter, unless all of 2×18 is flashback which I doubt since he and Emma have scenes together, meaning it takes places after she gets back from NYC with Rumple and NealFire

Yes, but aren’t those scenes only with Eion on the ground when he is wearing the green suit? That would mean we pick up on his death scene when the episode starts. Sort of a continuation from 2×16. I may be wrong about Emma and Eion’s scenes, but that’s what I thought.

March 7, 2013 at 5:22 pm #177927PheeParticipantI think they’ve been saying that the major death would actually happen before the end of The Miller’s Daughter?
