I’ve always thought that too but now I don’t know…Milah and Rumple did not stay together…and Bae really hasn’t had a good time of it. I mean last season (even though everyone was under the curse) just didn’t seem as hopeless to me…this season just seems dark…I mean the Rumbelle thing was almost more than I could take…now Swanfire.
I know happy endings are supposed to be just that…endings but I expect some happy along the way as well. We got happy with Swanthief in the beginning but by the end of the episode it was destroyed and now they aren’t even going to give us the little bit of happy reconciliation before they tear that away. Even Rumbelle got more than that (not much…but a little more). lol maybe I should just stick with Snow and Charming…seems the only romance with any lasting happiness in it.
Well, I think the major difference with Milah and Rumple is that they weren’t each others True Love. I do think he loved Milah (and now it’s possible that she loved him as we will see in Manhattan) but she wasn’t his true love. That idea is something they’re going to explore more, I feel, because you have characters like Hook and Regina who have lost their true loves but are still major characters that you can’t deprive of relationships on a show like this (which is why I ship the two of them together, eventually).
But I know what you mean. The Rumbelle things that have happened starting with The Outsider just flat out HURT. And while I know Belle will eventually get her memories back, the waiting is terrible. And besides Snowing, which I’ve never doubted would work out because despite all their problems they are Snow White and Prince Charming, the only one I ship super hard is SwanFire. *You hear that Power that Be! SwanFire and Rumbelle. No more messing!*[adrotate group="5"]"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"February 14, 2013 at 2:47 pm #173273CrownedWithLaurelsParticipant@Comfae wrote:

Hmmm, I’m still not convinced that they’re a couple. If she’s just someone he was with on the outside, they’re not just gonna invite her to come back to town and reveal all their secrets to her.
I’d been thinking she was someone who Blue sent to spy on Neal, and in doing so, she ends up finding the MIA August (before his arrival in SB) as well. Seeing her in this scene that involves Neal, August, and also Blue, would fit with that theory.
I agree. I think the writers want us to believe they’re a couple. Remember one of the informations about “Manhattan” :
4. Heartbreak Hotel
Emma’s trip to Manhattan will break her heart. Twice. But maybe it all needed to happen this way?I think the most precious information here is the “maybe it all needed to happen this way”. Maybe Emma will, like us, believe that “Tamara” is Neal’s girlfriend and she’ll be jealous, awakening her feelings for Neal.
But who is “Tamara” ? A “normal” person, or a FTL character ? Well, I have an idea :
If Neal is Baelfire AND Peter Pan, then “Tamara” could be Tinkerbell. Like Phee said, the Blue Fairy could have sent her to spy on Neal, and since she’s a fairy, it would be logical that she’d send another fairy to fulfill that mission. Moreover, the casting call for Tamara said : “she won’t stop until she gets what she wants”, and remember that Tinkerbell doesn’t stop until she gets Peter Pan’s affection. And it would add a nice parallel between Emma and Neal : “Tamara” would be Neal’s guardian angel just like August is Emma’s guardian angel.Exactly what I was thinking. Just because Tinkerbell was crazy for Peter Pan, didn’t mean they were a couple nor that Peter Pan returned any affection rather than the closeness of friendship/brother-sister type. I’m really hoping that’s all it is! Just a big psych-out for Emma. And that there is a Pan at the end of Nealfire… even if he’s not revealed to be Peter Pan, the use of fairies are not limited to certain characters, I guess, so she could still be a fairy…

Neal didn’t have to confide anything in her if she was sent by Blue to find him, because she’d already have known his whole back story. If she works for Blue, as someone who had sent info back to SB about Neal’s whereabouts, and also about August’s, then it makes perfect sense for her to be in this scene with all of them.

I’m trying so hard to not hate this lady we know almost nothing about. lol.
Well on the SwanFire front: I think having Henry be such a major character means they are going to try to keep SwanFire together. No moral judgement here, but on a show that is trying to be “family friendly” I think they happily ever after for Henry is to have his parents together, in FTL, having adventures.lol, I know what you mean. I already someone on Tumblr write a funny message with a .gif about the whole situation using the rhymes with witch word, and I thought about liking and forwarding it because right now most everyone is in panic mode not knowing what to expect especially me. So even though I don’t know Tamara, I sort of want to hate her, lol, but I can’t because she could be a really awesome character, and I don’t want to dislike her even if they do make her an obstacle to SwanFire. I’m sure our ship will happen eventually, but I just didn’t want them to go the love triangle route since I thought they were going to do that with August, then Hook, and now maybe Tamara because they have so many other problems that a love triangle seemed like overkill. Plus, the biggest triangle will always be between Emma and Regina over Henry, so any romantic love triangle involving any of the main characters seems superfluous too because it will never top the non-romantic triangle that will probably go on until the very last episode of the show.

Thank you for giving me something to believe in that makes a lot of sense. As SwanFire shippers, we know that she’s not over Neal otherwise she would have got rid of the yellow Bug for sure. The key chain I guess she could have kept; although, it is a pretty big thing that she modified it into a necklace, but to keep the yellow Bug for so long when we know she had the money for a better car and a car that wouldn’t be so conspicuous in her previous line of work, is proof that she still has feelings for Neal. However, I’m sure she’s convinced herself that she’s over Neal, so maybe if it’s just a misunderstanding situation with Tamara that will make her realize she’s not. While that might be heartbreaking in this episode, since they have so many other things to deal with first before a romantic relationship is even possible again for them, it’s actually a good sign for SwanFire, if we see definite proof that Emma is still not over Neal. (I hate angst about SwanFire so freaking much though. 😥 )
This could also be great for SwanFire in the long run because even if Neal is free right now, I’m sure he thinks that there’s no chance that Emma would ever want to reunite with him at this point. If he notices that she’s jealous over Tamara, then hopefully that will help him build up self confidence to pursue Emma knowing that she actually is still interested in him. Plus, I’m sure Henry will come to realize that Emma still has feelings for Neal maybe with his grandparents help, so maybe he’ll help push Neal along in the right direction too since I’m sure it will take awhile for Neal to build up the courage to do so.

February 14, 2013 at 3:58 pm #173289oceangypsyParticipantSpoilerTV just confirmed with set pictures and report that August is dying in 2×18 and is brought back as a little kid.
Well. There’s character development for you. While August isn’t my absolute favorite character (that would be Regina who they are similarly character assassinating), he’s one of them, and this is the most horrible treatment ever. And it’s the last straw. I just will not be watching the show any longer, which really hurts to say, but… I can’t accept this. If they do this to August, they will do it to other characters. The writers just don’t care.
February 14, 2013 at 4:17 pm #173294RumplesGirlKeymasterThe set pics from SpoilerTV do seem to show that August is going to become a young boy again, with the Blue Fairy right there with her wand. Maybe the only way to save Wooden August is to turn him into a boy again. Maybe it’s the only option.
I want to see how the writers handle this. Maybe this is a Pinocchio option only since in the original story Pinocchio had to be made a real boy. I’m starting to think that Eion either has other projects or something if they’re killing August."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"February 14, 2013 at 4:45 pm #173297mich7Participant@Phee wrote:

Phee I hope you’re right but I don’t trust Blue…she broke up Dreamy and Nova…who’s to say she didn’t send Tamara to seduce Neal to keep him and Emma apart for some sort of greater purpose…she might have even been behind breaking them up in the first place through August. And if that did happen and they still intend for Swanfire to happen we are back to having another Kathryn again…really did not enjoy triangle with her, PC, and MM. Don’t want to live through another one with Swanfire.
February 14, 2013 at 4:46 pm #173301SlurpeezParticipantNew pictures confirm that August does indeed become a little boy again.
I like the idea that this is the ONLY way to save August and that it’s specific to him. A lot of people on tumblr are freaking out that now it can be done to any and all of the characters, but let’s keep in mind that this is probably August’s wish. Baelfire and/or Emma won’t take this same option. I think it’s actually a very intriguing plot development which raises all sorts of questions like, if you could start your life all over again, would you? Sure, Emma and Bae have had a lot of pain to deal with, but they also found love with each other and had Henry. There are lots of very interesting thoughts that come from this.@Phee wrote:

many would think that Geppetto doesn’t deserve to get those years back with Pinocchio either. Geppetto caught a fair bit of hate for the business with putting Pinocchio through the tree, so I can see all of those fans being very annoyed if he gets to go back to the start and have the life he always wanted with his son.
Despite the Charmings’ pain over having missed out on Emma’s childhood, they’re not the types to hold it against Geppetto and would still want him to have his happiness with Pinocchio.
The Charmings might not hold a grudge against Geppetto, but I daresay a lot of fans do, judging by comments I read after that ep aired. Poor guy copped a decent amount of hate. So I can see all of those fans being none too pleased if Geppetto gets his 2nd chance with his son. So the people who love August will hate that he’s not around any more, and the people who don’t love Geppetto will hate the plot point too. That’s a whole lotta fanbase they could potentially get offside if they make Pinocchio a kid again. I’ll reserve final judgement until I see what actually happens and how it’s done, but as of right now, I’m somehwat apprehensive.
I know a lot of fans may not like this development, but I can’t hold it against Geppetto for wanting to save his son the way the Charmings wanted to save Emma. And a lot of fans who love Robert Carlyle and Lana Parilla don’t hate Rumple for destroying almost all of the EF so he could find Baelfire or Regina for gaslighting Henry so she could keep the dark curse in tact. If fans can forgive these villains for their horrible, earth-shattering deeds, I’d hope the fan base could forgive Geppetto for telling a lie protect his son.
