It’s that time of the hiatus again! We usually try to guess the finale title right as the show is getting closer to filming the finale itself. We have up to 5×19 titles now; with 20, 21, 22/23 to go!
What we know:
–most likely 22/23 are being written by A and E as a two part finale (ie: Operation Mongoose pt 1/2)
–the main location of S5B is the Underworld with the main villain being a Disney-i-fied version of Hades, Greek god of the Underworld.
–A and E have stated that one of the themes of this season is the past coming back to haunt you and unresolved business.
So…any guesses on the Season 5 finale title?

“Apotheosis” –Emma’s journey as the hero/savior is complete in her return from the Underworld having saved someone from Death (both literally and from the character of Hades, whom she defeats) and her Savior Status is affirmed with her being the most potent magic wielder in all the realms.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"Until I can think of a better one, because it is early, I’m going with “Dark vs. Light” for the season 5 finale.
Despite what seemed like closure for the dark one story line with it now being back inside Rumple, I’m not convinced this is over. I think this will be the overarching theme for the season and will carry over to the back half here. And I think it will be this episode, instead of “Swan Song,” that we finally get the darkness and subsequently, dark ones destroyed forever.
It’s hard to try to guess the finale title at this point, because honestly I can’t guess what their big end game is for the finale yet. For Season 3 it was time travel, and for Season 4 it was an alternate universe. For all we know, they have already escaped the Underworld, and there will be something else big for the finale. That may not be too unlikely, as both Zelena and the Queens of Darkness had been taken care of prior to either of those finales. Will there be another gimmick for the Season 5 finale, or will it be more along the lines of the Season 1 and 2 finales again?
Random guesses, though:
– “Salvation”
– “Unfinished Business”Since WL already stole “Happily Ever After”, I’m going with “The End”. Assuming its the last season >>
But of course, I’ll go with something else I guess. “The Savior”. Have we had that title? I mean it makes sense. They have all “Descended into hell”…. Emma is our hero..she must save everyone…Jesus….Yeah, you see where I’m going. Maybe we will have some Christian parallels.

I think Season 6 is looking more likely than not. I would say the main deciding factor will be contract negotiations between the actors, as I believe most of them are up this Season.

Also I doubt they will do the same thing as Lost. But who knows anymore. Funny enough, both “Happily Ever After,” and “The End” were episode titles in the sixth and final season of Lost.
