I like the name “Zades” better than HaLena.

LOL if you say so! I was just picking a thread title.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 4, 2016 at 9:21 am #320824RumplesGirlKeymasterI was kind of surprised to see some of the reactions around the interwebz this morning that many people think Hades is playing Zelena like a cheap fiddle. The final scene in Present Day seemed fairly genuine to me (and a lot of that credit goes to the actors, Greg and Bex really nailed the poignancy of that scene which helped to make the flashback warp speed romance seem more palatable)…so what do you guys think? Is Hades sincere?

Also, that last scene btwn them was fantastic.

1. Hades and Zelena end up together but this means losing Bex as a regular- I want Hades and Zelena together
2. Hades and Zelena break apart
3. Hades and Zelena stay together but do the 6 months in either place thing which would allow the ship to happen (yay) but would also keep Bex on the show. All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixApril 4, 2016 at 12:12 pm #320847PheeParticipantThe scene where he declared his love in the flashback was so overly dramatic and just comical (not in the good way), and I just couldn’t take him even remotely seriously. The final scene in present day, he dialed it back a bit and came across as being a bit more believeable.
In the flashback, I think he was probably trying super hard to convince her because this was gonna be his one shot at getting his heart kickstarted again, so he had to force the situation and try to make the true love happen. In present day it seems he’s prepared to be more patient, though he still seems pretty convinced that she’s gonna fall for him, which rubs me the wrong way.
If they’d written it a bit differently, with him being less forceful about the whole situation, I’d be more inclined to say that they could actually be a great couple. I mean, considering who each one of them is, and what their issues are, on paper they’re kind of a perfect match. Not the type who’d really have a healthy relationship, but there’s stuff they could bond over. If they’d taken the time to show them actually fall for each other, I could get behind it, but this whole thing with him falling in true love after one bike ride and then deciding that they belong together forever is ridiculous.
That being said, if Zelena falls for him and decides to stay in the Underworld, and it gets her permanently off my screen, then I wouldn’t be overly upset about that.
Why else would he bring her baby to the underworld if it’s not to use as leverage against her, to force her to stay with him forever in Hell.
He doesn’t need Zelena’s baby now that he’s gonna get Rumple’s.
April 4, 2016 at 12:51 pm #320857KebParticipantI’m not sure whether to trust him or not, but it definitely felt sincere on his side. And I think Zelena wants it to be true, but still doubts her own lovability too much to return the affection at all. If it does work out…I’m kind of excited to see where it goes. But it also has shades of Rumple and Cora…two people who see themselves in the other, who deeply want to be loved but are also attracted to power over all else. And who together would only exacerbate their more criminal tendencies.
(I’m not even sure what to call Hades’ “murders” since the people are already dead….)

April 4, 2016 at 3:12 pm #320899PriceofMagicParticipantI liked the bike ride because it seemed like such a simple thing. It was two people enjoying themselves, it wasn’t overly sexualised (though I think it wasn’t just Hades heart that had a reaction though I think that was more a sly nudge to the grown ups in the audience). The bike ride scene was one of the best scenes in the episode IMO.
I think Zelena does have feelings for Hades, she says she wants to trust him but can’t right now. There are some very strong parallels between RumBelle and HaLena and I think that may come into play later on this season.

It was totally a grown up wink. I had the same reaction (and said so in the fav/least fav thread)
