So this awesomeness that is HP is not over yet! JK Rowling has revealed a bit more about the stage play she has been writing, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Rowling said that the new play would not be a prequel, but said she didn’t want to go into more detail “to spoil what I know will be a real treat for fans.”
Curious. We already knew that the play would be about James and Lily…yet its NOT a prequel? Time travel perhaps? That’s really odd.

She posted some tweets about it on her page, but idk how to…tag tweets. Those of us who are in America, or other places, will have to wait our turns it would seem as the show will only be in the uk for awhile.

Do we know which James and Lily? James Sirius Potter and Lily Luna Potter are two of Harry and Ginny’s three kids. The other one, Albus Severus Potter, has those unfortunate initials that almost guarantee him a place in Slytherin despite his fears; he could be the cursed child.

Lol, its about Harry’s parents, or supposed to involve the somehow, or so I’ve read. And supposed to be talking about Harry’s pre-Hogwarts days… Or something. But somehow….not a prequel. Well, I’m sure JK Rowling could throw alphabet soup out a window and still end up with a great story so I have no fears for this.

She’s corrected a lot of news articles on her twitter. They seem to be getting a lot wrong and really know nothing more than we do. So I will ignore the media and only believe what she says.

Scorpius already looks like he’s going to be a conflicted character…I like it. Rose looks like she’s bright and happy just like her parents, and Albus looks….eager….afraid…but excited…So basically, like every child on their first day of school. I like it and its a shame I can’t see it and have to wait until the book comes out at the end of next month :/

But this part seems eerily sinister: “sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.” <— Is it just me…or does it sound like someone is going to betray someone? Oh god…Neville is the newest dark wizard 😛 But seriously if this were once upon a time, i’d be expecting Albust Potter to turn into a dark wizard because daddy wasn’t showing him enough attention. Either way, this sounds like something really bad…I feel like a hero will be a villain….

Too right! Lol! I’m so glad it’s JKR, who will no doubt have a far more original and skilful take on things!
About the darkness…I don’t know. It’s hard to imagine one of the Potters turning dark. Perhaps Harry or Albus will start having weird dreams and worry that they’re turning dark?

Lily liked bad boys. She wasn’t a fan of total evil, but I think the darkness had some appeal for her. She was like Belle that way. It might run in the family.
