I don’t even think anything even went as far as the planning phase- but I think the creator would have liked to continue the story. The series (and I think the novelization) both end with an open ended “And that is the end of the first book of the Tenth Kingdom” which definitely hints at the hope for more story, even though nothing ever came of it. I’m sort of curious where the story would have gone. I think Virginia also narrates that they were brought back almost instantly to the 9 Kingdoms for one reason or another; since things were so neatly wrapped up in the miniseries, it’s curious what the next big dramatic event would have been.

I watched it during the last hiatus with my boyfriend on Netflix. So incredibly cheesy ๐Ÿ˜† Just a LOT of cheese, but a very good production of cheese

    .

I decided to watch the 10th kingdom for the third time. It’s been a few years since I last saw it. Obisgirl, you are exactly right, it’s cheesy, but fun. I’m loving it.

I remember recording this from tv when it originally aired and watching it and that Cameron Manheim was Snow White, and like Doc said Dan Fielding was in it, but other than that I can’t for the life of me remember the plot. I do remember liking it. I’ll have to Netflix it this summer.

My favorite non-Disney fairytale movie is still “Ever After” with Drew Barrymore. Oh my, that is just a sweet, sweet movie. Angelica Houston was just so great being evil in it. I don’t get into the horror versions of the fairy tales that are out there, but then I don’t watch horror movies anymore at all.

Oh, I have to agree about Ever After. It was beautifully done and a plausible basis for the legend ( ….well maybe not, I can’t imagine Leonardo DaVinci roaming around in France with the peasants). The Wedding ceremony of the Prince with the Spanish Princess was priceless.
