Despite the contrary posts in this thread, I do believe Emma and Neal truly loved each other. Emma was already a hardened individual before Tallahassee and one could surmise that Neal was the same. They opened up to each other and wanted to settle down. Neal knew August was serious and that he needed to leave Emma alone. It wasn’t cowardly to let her go, he was doing what he thought was best for Emma. Bae is not a coward and values relationships (because of his troubled past). He even asked August in Tallahassee something like….so when this is all over can I see her again. That’s why August sent the post card.
I believe Henry is the product of true love. David’s mom said “I had it with your father” On that note: people that truly love each other don’t necessarily NOT give up their kids. For all David’s parents knew, James would have had a better life (Kinda like David and Snow giving up Emma)
Anyways: David, Snow, and Emma are all the products of true love. The only thing I question about Henry’s line of love is Milah and Rumple. I don’t think that was true love, unless Bae isn’t Rumple’s son but Hook’s.

[attachment=0:20v8hhbk]tumblr_milkqh5hiZ1rnf3pxo1_500.png[/attachment:20v8hhbk]This is from 'Miller's Daughter – don't know why their release stuff about it so soon…
It is vague, but could be magic…or many other things. 😆February 22, 2013 at 1:57 am #174774tammythebearParticipant@PJSparkles wrote:

Oh my goodness you nailed EVERYTHING I was going to say when I read replies!! I believe that David, Snow, and Emma were all products of true love as well, but I am not sold that Milah and Rumple truly loved each other. I honestly NEVER thought about Bae being hooks son. When we first meet Hook, wasn’t Bae a little boy? They never really say when Milah first met Captain Hook though, and that would be a WICKED twist!!!

It is vague, but could be magic…or many other things. 😆That is REALLY interesting… and could be related to the promo incident…. hmmmm healer?

He knew that his father would be where Emma would be going (why do you think he didn’t go to SB after he got the postcard). He was being selfish. He knew of Emmas’ past and all the hurt and trauma she had suffered since a young age – She had foster parents til she was 3 years old, but they sent her away when they had their own child. If he really loved her, he would have fought for her. Refused to let her go alone. Because he knew exactly what leaving her would do to her, but he didn’t care.
This isn’t ‘love’. I believe he was simply using her, because all this time he had been alone so he jumped at the first opportunity for someone to show affection to him which he probably hadn’t gotten since he was younger. Maybe it was lust, but it most definately wasn’t love.Even though Neal claims that he is nothing like his father, he couldn’t be more identical to him.

I think it was not right or wrong what Bael/Neal did in letting Emma go. It was what needed to happen so that the curse could be broken…I get why people think it was cowardly for Bae to leave Emma, But I think it was brave and strong, Bae has always been brave, It was a HARD awful decision, probably the hardest in his life, but it HAD to be done, for Emma, her family and all the other people in SB. He knew that she longed for a family and had the inevitable doubt about her parents, and once he knew the curse had happened because of him, he felt awful….And it was exactly because he loves her that he let her go, so she could be reunited with her family and save all the other souls in Storybrooke. Sometimes you have to let go the person you love go so they can grow, fulfill their destiny, and if they are truly yours, they will always find a way back to you…I know that maybe things could have been different, and that Bae is not perfect and made mistakes, but I truly believe he suffered and still suffers at the thought of leaving Emma, I believe he still loves her and regrets his actions every day.I hope Emma/Bae true love’s kiss can break the StoryBrooke curse completely at the end of this season…
