I think is a big mistake try to understand the timeline, when not even the writers know it, they state it that from s1 to s6 only 2 years passed, they hint that Henry was born in 15 August of some year, if was 2001 m then he was premature, bc was also  stated that Emma and Neal meet in 2001,( and jmo stated that whenemma meet Neal she was 18 and just came out of the system, so another mistake  to add more confusion and since I doubt she went to bed with Neal right away, so that is another mistake, but even if we assume Henry was born in 15 August 2001, how could he have  11 on spring 2012, that was when 214 is supposed to happen?

The thing is , by their logic can be totally 2017 , and I don’t doubt some of this speeding Henry adult was taken from Nárnia , except that in ouat case Henry stayed adult,didn’t went back to be a child, for those who saw Nárnia, many years have passed,but in real world, no time has passed.

they made a lot of mistakes in their timeline since ever, let’s not forget the s1 mistake that states Emma gave birth to Henry in 1996 with 18 years, when in that year she was 13 years, and on same episode they state she was arrested bc she stole some family in Boston, if I’m not mistaken, not to mention that Henry was born in Phoenix and somehow was adopted in Boston , so yeah, using their own words and change it a bit :

I just don’t think they producers are right about this. It just makes no sense at all that it is 2017. Why do this? All the kids are older. Everyone is older, but Rumpel, Regina, and Hook. It doesn’t make sense. There is no reason for them to do this. They can just pretend that they don’t look older, but just have them be older. I would rather they do that, then somehow make it 2017, and until that is actually stated on the show, i am saying that it isn’t true.

Also, Emma said she had Henry when she was eighteen, but the show also stated that it was her 28th birthday and Henry was already ten, so that means she gave birth at 17. She also had a juvy record, not an adult record, so she was underage when she committed her crime. I just don’t know. That has all been a mess since like the third episode. It has only gotten worse with the dark one nonsense and the messing with the timelines across realms and just everything. I am definitely in the your questions are pointless place. These writers can’t write. They don’t keep track of their timeline, so nothing they say about it can be taken as truth. They don’t know. It doesn’t make sense. It never will.
