…I know my birth time (10:27 am) and it’s on all the birth certificates in my family (1950, 1951, 1982–Ohio, 1980–Tennessee, 1987–California). So while it might not be always known, Regina MIGHT know it in this case…though she probably wouldn’t have gotten the original birth certificate as it was a closed adoption. (How IS that handled anyway? I mean, you need a birth certificate to prove you’re alive for things like passports etc…)

The chance that Henry’s birth hour would be in his adoption records are slim.

Especially since he was born in prison where papers are often shuffled, lost and keeping records is not the first order of business.

ETA: I have no doubt that in the minds of A and E Henry was born at 8:15 on the 15t of August because in their minds, that’s how storytelling goes.

Okay , googling produces that in the U.S. the time of birth is sometimes listed only on the “long form” version of certificates at birth and sometimes not even on those if the population is under 100,000 people. It varies. When you get a copy of your certificate from vital records it isn’t this version usually. So adding in RG’s reminder that Henry was born in prison and it was a closed adoption, the tradition long form probably wasn’t supplied.

But who knows, Regina might know that information despite logic and regulations. However, when throwing around numbers most cite birthdays, not birth time. I’m holding on that 815 is also the birthday.

Henry was actually born in Kenya.

(this is only funny if you follow American politics)

Would be a good thing to ask on Twitter, I guess 🙂 I don’t think I’ll change it from matching Emma’s birthday on the timeline though without more solid evidence–does it just look like 8-15 or do we have real proof?

    Writers Cannot do Math.

Personally, I say make his birthday 8/15/02. Considering Ashley is drinking in “Skin Deep,” even though she’s supposed to be 19 in “The Price of Gold,” obviously there was an unspoken two-year time skip during Season 1. Yeah. That’s it. Let’s go with that.

Alternatively, Regina celebrates Henry’s birthday on August 15, but he was not actually born on that date.

Well, Regina adopted him at 3 weeks old. So he’d have to be born 3 weeks BEFORE that. Doesn’t fix the timeline 🙁
