I have been reading through posts over the past few days about possible new story lines that may appear in the upcoming season(s) of OUAT. The series has already brought to life my favorite story (Beauty and the Beast) although I am hoping to see my second favorite come into play as well – Peter Pan. There is a lot of speculation about the windmill seen in the pilot, and I will agree that the windmill looks far more like Tinkerbell than any of the other faries we have seen to this point. I know Peter Pan has been discussed on other topics, especially about the rights to the story and if it is possible to include. So here is what I found beside the windmill that made me think twice. I saw this picture on another board and thought it was worth pointing out that the picture on the far right. This is an image of Henry’s rooms with pictures he has posted all around his mirror. The one labeled ‘C’ is the one I am looking at :

It looks to me like Peter Pan fighting hook. I am of course speculating this by the young boy in green vs the arm in red that we can see (Hook being classically shown in red). Other stories on the wall look like Little Red Riding hood (which we have now seen) and possibly Goldilocks and the three bears (labeled ‘E’ in the picture.)

Do you think these pictures are just there to fill Henry’s room and they go along with his character, or do the importance of the pictures matter? Will we see these characters at a later point? Can you identify any other pictures in the room?

Also – are more classic Disney Villains going to be introduced, or can we assume the EQ is running the whole show? We have yet to even see Maleficent again.

That pictures reminds me of Robin Hood fighting Little John because neither of them would stand aside and let the other cross the log that was a bridge over a river so they fought. I would really like them to do something with Peter Pan as well so if there are any copyright issues that they can work it out.

Oh, I hadn’t thought about Robin Hood. That is a great option too. I can definitely see it being that exact scene you explained – and it does appear that they are using sticks rather than swords as they would have in Peter Pan.

I like to think nothing is random in OUAT. That is why I think the photos in Henry’s room could be an indicator of what is to come in future episodes. I hope we get to see several of the photos in question.

      1. Picture A is Jack and the Beanstalk. Check out this URL, to see the same photo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_and_the_Beanstalk
      2. Picture B isn’t clear, but it seems to be a plant being watered, with a bird on it.

      3. Picture C is definitely a picture of Robin Hood and Little John. If you click on the URL, you’ll see the same photo as seen on Henry’s wall http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_John

      4. Picture D is clearly Little Red Riding Hood. http://www.art.co.uk/products/p12363393-sa-i1734264/walter-crane-little-red-riding-hood-meets-the-wolf-in-the-woods.htm?sorig=cat&sorigid=22885&dimvals=22885&ui=5bb8a99bc2a543e4b48bae0ad7470ee6

      5. Picture E is the story of the Story of the Three Bears. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Story_of_the_Three_Bears

      6. Picture F is cut-off and blurry so as to be unrecognizable.

      7. Picture G is a little blurry, but it appears to be someone tending to a stove furnace. Perhaps it’s the blind witch from Hansel and Gretle.

      8. Picture H is a romantic couple, presumably a prince and princess. I’ve since determined it is a photo of Beauty and the Beast after the beast has transformed into a prince again. You can see the same photo here: http://www.art.co.uk/products/p12367065-sa-i1737610/eleanor-vere-boyle-beauty-discovers-that-love-is-the-magic-that-makes-all-things-fair.htm?sorig=cat&sorigid=0&dimvals=5045863&ui=5bb8a99bc2a543e4b48bae0ad7470ee6

      8. Picture I is a fairy tale called The Princess Bella Flor. You can see the image here: http://vintageprintable.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Juvenile-Book-illustration-Fairy-Tale-How-Jose-found-the-princess-Bella-Flor-19061.jpg
You can read the story here: http://www.sacred-texts.com/neu/lfb/or/orfb28.htm

      9. Picture J is cut-off, but the legs appear to be that of a man with a sword around his waist. It could be a prince or other hero.

This is besides the point, but did anyone else notice the emblem on Henry’s school uniform? To me, it looks like a book crossed out (which would be in keeping with the boarded up library we’ve seen).

Here are some good resources for fairy-tale images. http://www.artpassions.net/fairytales/tales.html

Good finds for all of the matches! Hopefully we will have some more stories headed our way – I’ll be interested to see if they do incorporate bears into the woods along with the wolves no one knows are out there. My initial thought for ‘H’ was Rapunzel as she had a lot of gold coloring draping from the back of her head and that was a Grimm fairy tale like many of the others we have seen in OUAT. but I was unable to find any pictures that linked it unlike the others you had found. I agree that J looks like a knight. Perhaps that was to represent Fredrick being stuck?

Hopefully at some point we can get a better look at Henry’s room to further asses what hints are in it – I’m sure there are many!

It is the same picture of Robin Hood and Little John. Great find slurpeez. I love how they use the old school illustrations in the show. That is just awesome. I always love those old illustrations.

Just found this to go along with my original thinking – I hope their desperate attempts work out!

Characters on Horowitz and Kitsis’ wishlist

We’ve seen lots of famous characters appear on “Once Upon a Time.” They’ve done Snow White, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel and many more. So who will they tackle next? The producers confessed that they’re desperately trying to get their hands on Peter Pan. They’d love to do Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, and Mulan is also a favorite.

That means August is not Peter Pan and the Pinocchio theory seems more and more probable.

So that means there is a copyright issue with Peter Pan. I hope they can work something out.
