I am at the beginning of exploring this idea…it is possible the Shadow belongs to Henry. If this is true then the shadow is the dark side of Henry…it has been ripped away from Henry (the good part) and is seeking to reunite with Henry…either to be put back together or to kill him. Some things that come to mind…keeping in mind that there are a lot of glitches with this theory, and these are just random thoughts.
Keychains: Keychains have been featured quite a bit on OUAT. When we first see Greg he is weaving a keychain…red and green…and he says the colors are just like Luke (Skywalker) and Darth (Vader). Then Greg’s father hands him a brown woven keychain that belonged to his grandfather for his “collection” When red and green are mixed they make the color brown. The keychain could be like the black and white dice of LOST….representing good and evil….brown can be separated into green and red…good and evil….the light side and the dark side.
Baelfire: At one point the Blue Fairy says to Baelfire, “There’s something dark in your life.” Baelfire responds that it is his father. This could be true…or this could be a reference that there is a dark side…and this is ripped out in the form of a shadow.
In the Peter Pan story, the boy (Peter Pan) is looking for HIS shadow….in OUAT…the Shadow could be looking for HIS boy.
Rumple is Henry’s grandfather…and the crocodile…and the one who cut off Hook’s hand.
Hook is Henry’s “stepgrandfather”…the one whose hand was cut off.
It looks as if Baelfire is not Peter Pan…this was not the “boy” Peter Pan was looking for.We are left with Henry.
If the HIM is the Shadow…Peter Pan’s Shadow…the one who steals boys…it would a type of alter ego “dark one” for Henry. Fits well since Henry is the grandson of the Dark One.
It seems there are two explanations for the picture…prophecy or time travel.

It has been a while since I read through it…my thoughts are scattered throughout the entire thread.What I find the most intriguing is the question…could the Shadow be tied to the original Dark One…not native to Fairy Tale Land. How could Henry be tied to this original Dark One….
I’m just starting to explore these ideas…should be a fun journey. Could Henry be the “light” side of Peter Pan and the Shadow be the “dark” side of Peter Pan.
One last thing…in the promo for Season 2 when we are introduced to Hook…the screen is “dark”and then all of a sudden Henry's face pops up with him holding a “light” onto his face. We are then introduced to Hook. Of course for all of this to be true, Henry would have lost his memories of this time. It should be interesting to see how it all plays out.
[adrotate group="5"]I think Henry may be Peter Pan what if when Henry jump in the portal that his shadow and him rip apart and his shadow travel threw time and space and landed in past London with Bae. When he fell out of his portal so the shadow start his search for his owner like a lost puppy. He collects boys and bring them to Neverland compare them to him but no match but then he goes after Bae thinking since Bae come out of a portal like him he thinks Bae must be his owner so he goes gets Bae bring him to NL but Bae lands in the water so the shadow sends out his Lost Boys to find Bae when they bring Bae to him. As for picture what if the shadow saw a quick look of Henry when they got rip apart and ask Tink to draw a picture of the boy that way he knows what the boy look like,s so Tink give the order to Greg and Tamara to bring Henry to NL so him and his shadow can become one oh one more thing right before the show air someone ask the one who play,s as Henry what is his favorite story and what person who he would love to play as on the show is answer for both questions Peter Pan 😀 maybe all the cs stuff is just for Hook to make a promise to Emma if she dies to take care of Henry and then the real Peter Pan story with Henry as PP and Hook dueling it out in NL maybe the last episode of the show everyone dies except Henry and Hook and they go to NL and travel back in time to the past it would explain why PP is in London past .
