Pinocchio looks good. As in that scene looks pretty realistic. The whale was sort of frightening when it went by with it’s menacing eye near the water.
Mary standing up to Regina and yet still being very Snow like and forgiving her was a great scene.
And there is more to that original scene with Regina and David. I thought there had to be the editing was weird on that.

Also caught that hint about August being Pinocchio it seems like something with his story was changed or left out, guess that would answer what August did to the book wouldn’t it! Nice job finding the YouTube versions I just wanted to be the one to post them first 😎
April 27, 2012 at 12:01 pm #144270SlurpeezParticipantWow, thanks for posting! I’m really excited for this episode now more than ever! After watching these clips, I think that the pages August must have added were a new ending to the classic story of Pinocchio! August wants Emma to know what really happened to that puppet in FTL. He is clearly setting the stage for Emma to believe that he is Pinocchio. Also, I think that the new ending that August added was how he came to our world to protect baby Emma.
Also, the clip of MM and Regina echoes the words that Maleficent warned would happen: Regina has a hole in her heart that cannot be filled. Also, like in episode 8 when SW forgave the EQ, so is MM forgiving Regina for framing her for a murder.
Also, David must be really insecure to flit from one woman to the next. I know he is only trying to be nice, but Regina is playing him big time! The card read “Mom” on the outside but was blank on the inside. Regina obviously forged it and claimed Henry was neglecting her to make David sympathize and stay for dinner. Still, David must be really thick to think that “something in the universe” wanted Regina to find him. She completely fabricated the story of her finding him on the side of the road. Everything out of Regina’s mouth is a lie. Doesn’t he know Regina tried to frame MM? Maybe not if MM and Emma haven’t told him about what really happened. I hate the effect that the curse has on David, because he is unbelievably dim-witted. You’d think he’d at least maintain some of his former charms, as MM obviously maintained some of her kick-butt attitude when she kicked Jefferson out of a window in episode 17.
Finally, I wonder if Mr. Gold is declining Emma’s request to gain custody of Henry because he wants Emma to put her trust in August instead. In episode 19, Mr. Gold said that Emma trusted August, and perhaps Mr. Gold hopes that Emma will start to trust August even more, which will help her believe faster. Otherwise, I’m not sure what Mr. Gold’s game is and why he’d turn down Emma’s request. Maybe he truly doesn’t want Henry to get hurt, which is what I predicted would happen if Emma rashly goes head-to-head with Regina. Still another thought is that Mr. Gold has another intentional reason for Regina to maintain custody over Henry. Perhaps it is a key part to breaking the curse.

April 27, 2012 at 12:07 pm #144271hjbauParticipanti think so too slurppeez that the story that was added was probably about how Pinocchio came to our world. I like the idea that we aren’t going to get the story of Pinocchio, but something new that happened to him after he became a real boy.

Maybe he thinks if Emma wins custody she’ll want to take Henry out of Storybrooke? Or like I thought maybe he doesn’t want to keep fighting her battles for her. Emma has gotten his help both times she’s beaten Regina. If she’s the savior she’s got to beat her on her own at some point she has to fight and win her battles against Regina herself & why not start with this one.
April 27, 2012 at 12:20 pm #144274hjbauParticipantI would rather Emma beat Regina on her own anyways. So lets see it.

Right? it’s like what Henry had said about how good cant beat evil cause evil fights dirty? Well even though Emma won those two times it’s kind of tainted because she had Rumplestiltskin in her corner to fight dirty for her. For this won lets finally see just see good win! 😀
April 27, 2012 at 1:06 pm #144279SnickerdoodleParticipantdimwitted is a great word for David, I don’t care how nice he is trying to be. At some point he needs to wake up and smell the coffee, so to speak, or maybe for him it would be the witches’ brew.
Loved the Pinnochio peek. That was just awesome. I am so happy these directors and producers have found a way to bring something like that to us in a TV show. Sounded like to me that Henry was saying there was saying the end of the Pinnochio story was left out.
- Henry says, “Everyone knows how Pinnochio ends.”
Emma says, Maybe that’s why it’s left out”
Henry — “or there’s more to it.”As for Mr. Gold, getting Henry for Emma is not on his agenda… Finding Bae is his agenda and keeping Regina in her place where he is concerned. He definitely knows how to pick his battles. Couldn’t agree more.
Although I did like steliokontos1 comment that at some point Emma has to be the savior that has brought her to SB, and she will need to do that without Mr. Gold’s tactics.
Looking at the season ending promo, I would say Emma is going to have to figure it out and grow into that place, because she has no idea about FTL, magic, the curse, or what she is doing. This place (SB) although it emulates our world, doesn’t quite work the same. Or maybe it does if you go where someone has a power to pull all the strings… 🙂 Ha ha ha, pull all the strings…. Pinnochio…
I am finally excited to hear about Pinnochio.
April 27, 2012 at 1:20 pm #144281midnight drearyParticipantWow. The Pinocchio story actually looks pretty interesting. If the writers play their cards right, it can turn into a brilliant story. 😉
I’m glad Mr. Gold turned down Emma’s case. It’s better that she fights this battle on her own. Well, I guess it won’t be entirely on her own. She eventually seeks the help of August. Another reason why I’m glad Emma won’t be working with Mr. God is because it would be ridiculously out of character for her. Didn’t she just get finished accusing him of kidnapping Kathryn a week ago? Why is she seeking the help of someone who she suspects kidnapped one of her friends? Come on now Emma. 😆
The scene between MM and Regina actually made me have more sympathy for Regina rather than Mary Maragert. However, I’m not sure if that was the writers intention.
