PS: Tamara has to be the daughter of RH and Marian because NO ONE hates magic THAT MUCH for no reason.

If Tamara is the daughter of Robin Hood and Marian, wouldn’t she be stuck in Storybrook?

Not if RH and Marian got out of FTL before the Curse hit. This is how I’ve pictured this working out.
–RH steals the wand from Rumple on behalf of a fairy.
–RH uses the wand to heal Marian.
–After returning the wand to the fairy, RH and Marian ask the fairy to send them to another world, to escape whoever poisoned Marian.
–They are sent to our world. At some point Marian becomes sick and died and this greatly affects her daughter Tamara who blames magic. She is recruited to the Home Office.

I’ve mentioned this in another thread and I don’t recall this having been brought here yet, but can we be sure the Home Office exists only on the Land Without Magic? I’m thinking it could be a Wolfram & Hart (from Angel) kind of organization, existing in multiple realms and trying to erradicate magic in each one of them for whatever reasons. This’d certainly explain their apparently vast knowledge on magic.

Well, I think the Home Office is specific to our world, since the purpose is to irradiate magic from Earth, which is also why it’s called A Land Without Magic. All the other realms we’ve seen so far (EF, NL, and WL) all have magic, so no such organization existed there. But I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the people in the Home Office come from magical realms, which could be how they know so much about spells and curses.

The problem though is that our world isn’t really a land without magic. Obviously there is magic here because the Home Office set itself up long ago to eradicate magic, meaning it had to be here.

Well, I think Earth’s default setting, so to speak, is to be A Land Without Magic, and the Home Office was founded to help keep out magic from other realms. So, I think any magic that is found here isn’t indigenous to Earth, but it comes from alien worlds like the curse brought SB from the EF. In Selfless, Brave, and True, Tamara said she had the Dragon’s magic tested but that it wasn’t composed of any elements on Earth, which means the Dragon’s supply of magic came from another land.

While I agree that Wendy may be one of the founders of the Home Office, I think that the Blue Fairy may be a part of the organization. How can the Home Office know so quickly the capability of magical objects without an insider? In the Enchanted Forest, the Blue Fairy’s magic rivals that of Rumple and Regina. It is possible that her preparations included creating an organization to keep the “Land without Magic” free from magic.

She probably has an exit plan that of course will backfire and reveal her.

    Oh…yes…and she is “Mother Superior”……..

In tonight’s live chat, it was suggested that Whale was a secret agent for the Home Office because he is a scientist much like Greg and Tamara who rely on science instead of magic. Thoughts?

I’m not sure because Whale does want to get back to his land to bring his brother back.
