As of 222 most of us were on the fence about how long Hook and Baelfire were together. Some said a week, some said months to years. After tonight, how long do you think? I think it had to be at least several months in order to teach Bae how to be a pirate, or at least beginnings of that.

Did Hook ever come back for Bae? Did Bae reject him once on NL?

I’m thinking that the fact Hook knew where Bae’s cave was, and how to get into it…. Hook came looking for Bae or somehow ran into him. The more parental figure stuff came into it then. Bae would’ve needed some help, and despite feeling peeved at being handed over to Pan initially….

Hmm. That’s the bit that just doesn’t work. We’ve seen how much Neal/Bae can hold a grudge (however understandable) Maybe Hook won him over somehow…. We haven’t seen Neal interact with Hook yet have we? So we don’t actually know what their relationship is like now. The only hint we’ve had is that Neal didn’t seem overly phased about running into Hook in New York and didn’t sound too bitter about their past history (maybe just because he was preoccupied with his father’s deadly injury though)

Sadly no. We were supposed to but then Colin went and broke his leg and his S2 story had to be cut down.

I’d say that Hook and Baelfire spent on the order of a month together, enough time for Hook to teach Bae the ropes and to gain his trust. Hook taught Bae to navigate by the stars, which is no simple skill to learn. I think it was also just enough time for Hook to imagine what it might have been like if Milha and Hook had come back for Baelfire when he was old enough (as Hook told Bae in 2×22 they had planned to do). I think Hook was sincere in his offer to be a family with Bae, so it had to be enough time for them to bond on some level. It just felt a little disingenuous to us, the audience, because we only saw a brief snippet of their time together. But when Bae found out Hook was the pirate who seduced his mother and “tore apart his family” I fully understand why young Bae would feel betrayed, especially when he feels like Hook used him to find out how to kill Rumplestiltskin. And then Hook chose the easy decision of letting the Lost Boys take Baelfire.

Did Hook ever come back for Bae? Did Bae reject him once on NL?

I’m hoping this is the case! I want to see Hook regret handing Baelfire over to PP. As Swanning-off wrote, the fact that Hook knew where Bae’s secret hideout was and how to get in strongly suggest that Hook did eventually step foot on NL and went after Bae. Also, I’m assuming that Hook made some deal with Pan though that if Pan let Hook go to enact his revenge on Rumple that Pan would eventually release Bae. Just a thought.

I’d guess at least a month on the ship, and then they obviously interacted on land too, considering Hook knew where the cave was.

I need present day CaptainFire interaction like I need air right now. We need more info! *grabby hands*
