Hook did just try to kill his dad, after all. Neal might be angry with Rumple and not want to see him, but when push came to shove, he got on that ship and sailed it back to Storybrooke to save his papa.
I wonder how Hook found them in New York? Was he tailing them? How did he find Emma and Rumple to begin with? He couldn’t have known that Bae was going by Neal in this world or even what he looked like anymore.
There is just so much more I feel between those two that we don’t know, yet. That can’t be the only time that Bae and Hook encountered each other.

I wouldn’t rule out Hook regretting his choice and attempting to rescue Bae. While A & E have changed quite a few things from the original tales in OUAT, they’ve never done so without kept their essences and Hook’s enmity with Peter Pan is one of those things. Since they’ve removed PP’s role in the loss of his left hand, it stands to reason that something else will have to motivate Hook to fight Peter, and a desire to rescue Bae seems a believable one.
Agreed. Really hoping that we get to see Hook attempting to rescue Bae. We’ve calculated that Hook must have left NL before Bae did though, so whatever happened with a rescue attempt, at some point, Hook still gave up and left. Maybe PP got sick of having to deal with Hook, and gave him a ticket out of NL to get rid of him, and Hook had the choice: rescue Milah’s son, or go get his revenge on Bae’s father, and he chose the latter. I really do hope there’s a genuine attempt to rescue Bae in there at some point though.
My position on this is known: I think they mean Neverland as a whole and not specifically the island, and that’s only so because Peter Pan controls the ways out.
Agreed again.

I can’t access my earlier episodes this season I recorded but where exactly was Smee when the curse hit? We know that Hook was in FTL with Cora because she protected them with her little magical biosphere, but I can’t remember what land Smee was in.
From The Crocodile:
Mr. Gold: No, no. Not about Moe – your captain. Where is he?
Smee: I’ve never seen him in Storybrooke, I swear. For some reason, when the curse hit, it… It didn’t take him.
A few times in the podcast it’s been mentioned that Smee was in NL when the Curse hit, but I dunno where that assumption comes from, because to me, the above quote suggests that Smee was in the same land as Hook (FTL), it’s just that Hook was inside Cora’s bubble and Smee wasn’t. I don’t think anyone in NL was affected by the Curse.
We do know that Hook left Neverland at some point, obviously. He got back to the Enchanted Forest and knew the story about Belle living with Rumple. Somehow he had a mole somewhere because he also knew that Regina had her held captive (kind of makes you wonder since Jefferson also knew that Regina had Belle captive…was it not really a secret?)
I’m hoping there’ll be a scene at some point where Hook meets Maleficent, who is the one who told him about Regina having Belle. When Hook encountered Maleficent under the library, it seemed that he was familiar with her. And if Regina bragged to anyone about having the Dark One’s girlfriend locked up in a cell though he thought she was dead, she would have bragged to Maleficent.
I know everyone is obsessed with shipping and Emma, but I’m actually at the moment much more interested in the Hook/Nealfire relationship. He seemed floored to find out that Nealfire was Henry’s father and that even Neal was gone. He didn’t know. It was only after he was on the ship and saw the remind of Bae did he turn back around to help Storybrooke.
I am dying to see adult Nealfire and Hook interact.
June 2, 2013 at 12:54 pm #196944RumplesGirlKeymasterRe Smee: I think that when Hook went to FTL to try and kill Rumple, he took Smee with him. It makes sense. Smee was Hook’s right hand man (pun intended). But Hook didn’t bother bringing Smee into the Bubble so thus Smee was taken to SB with everyone else. The only people from other lands that came over were those that Regina interacted with and wanted in SB: Whale and Jefferson.

Many of us have speculated that Hook deeply regretted handing Bae over to the Lost Ones and probably tried to rescue him at some point. The problem is that once you set foot on NL you can’t leave, at least that’s what was implied in ASOTM.
Then again, the Lost Ones did, at least to Hook’s ship.

I agree.
