I don’t know if Hook would wait that long though–to become close to belle and seduce her. That would take a while, and I don’t think it would even work.
Belle wouldn’t allow herself to be seduced. She loves Rumple and would remain loyal to him which would put a nice contrast between her and Milah.
Hook wouldn’t need to sucessfully seduce Belle but have Rumple think that is what he’s doing. Hook already seduced Rumple’s wife so it wouldn’t be beyond reason that he could seduce Rumple’s girlfriend.
Rumple has self-esteem issues so he could quite easily jump to the conclusion that Belle has been seduced by Hook. Again, Rumple would be in a lose/lose situation. If he confronts Belle, she’s going to take offense that he doesn’t trust her to be faithful, and if he says nothing then he’s going to suffer in silence thinking he’s going to lose Belle to Hook like he did Milah.
Like you said, as far as we know Hook doesn’t know about Belle yet. He might be intending to kill Rumple right now but once he sees Belle, he might decide that it would be a better revenge to separate Rumple from his one true love.
I can honestly say I agree with you! This is going to be a tough one for Rumpel. 😮
Belle will stay true to him. Hes probably not used to faithfulness..haha.I’m excited though!! I can’t wait for their conversation to happen. Hook and Rumpel? 🙂 Going to be pretty good…
What do you think about the weapon? Do you have any ideas of what Hook might have brought over?
Or do you think he is after the dagger?[adrotate group="5"]*SWANFIRE* keeper of Neal's dream catcher

Or do you think he is after the dagger? Can Rumple be killed whilst in his Storybrooke human form? It’s possible that the Dark One originated from a diffferent land because Blue Fairy told Bae that Rumple’s magic didn’t belong in the land (I can’t remember the exact line). Perhaps Hook spent his time in Neverland researching the Dark one and has found a way to kill him. The dagger may not be the only way.

That is a really interesting theory. Do you think the dagger will have effect in Storybrooke?

November 8, 2012 at 10:58 am #160004gigiParticipantI think it does. Rumple used it to summon the wraith.

Could that be because the dagger is a dark magic object and the wraith is a dark creature?Fairy dust wouldn’t have summoned the wraith.
Magic works differently, Rumple isn’t really the “dark one” anymore per se because he’s human rather than how he was in fairytale land.
Perhaps the dagger just holds dark magic rather than being able to control Rumple. Though Rumple should make sure that he still keeps it in a special place.

Hmm, I guess it could be.
The only thing that makes Rumpel the dark one is his name on the dagger, like, as far as we can see.
He still looks human and everything. I’m still wondering though as to how he wouldn’t die if he got stabbed by some other knife. Maybe he can get killed by other things in our world? Like, if someone cut his head off, how would he sidestep that?On a different note, what if somehow hook knows Rumpel is in a world without magic? Maybe Cora told him. What if he planned on the dagger not working?
Maybe, but I’m not sure its likely… Thoughs?
On a even more different note.. OOOH. I JUST HAD A REALLY SCARY THOUGHT.
This could be terrible…but what if…
What if now that there is magic in storybrooke, say the dagger does work. Say hook comes back and gets a hold of it, and finds belle out or whatever. What if he orders Rumpel to kill her? Rip out her heart?
:O
That would be so sad…but pretty awesome.

O_O As a fan, and being Rumplestiltskin one of my favorite characters, it sounds horrible. Poor guy, I would like to kill Hook myself after that. It goes far beyond revenge, It is just… cruelty,
But from an impartial, cold, and inhuman literature perspective, it would be just… brilliant!!! 😮

haha I am too a big fan of Rumpel and Rumbelle. I mean it would be good, just not have him actually kill her. Maybe then would be a good time to break the curse, true loves kiss, eh? I mean it would be great to have the audience clinging to the edge of their seats for a little while. I don’t know…it sounds pretty amazing, though I wouldn’t want it to actually happen.
It is a possibility though! I would like to see it happen 🙂 Just as long as he doesn’t actually kill her.

I don’t think Rumple would harm Belle even if he was being controlled. Isn’t true love supposed to be the most powerful magic of all or something? If so, I can see Rumple’s love for Belle triumphing over the control of the dagger.
