You know for Hook supposing to be this horrible villain at this point he’s really more of an anti-hero really what did he do that was so evil? Ok he stole Rumple’s wife from him sure that breaks guy code but other than that? He was in love with Mila they seemed to be happy together he tried to protect her from Rumple and couldn’t. At the end we see him hanging around Cora but that’s it. He spared Smee right away, let Rumple walk off the ship with no problem don’t know I was expecting more villainy with our new villain. Really in the end it made Rumple look more evil than Hook even though it was suppose to be the other way around but we’ll see how things go after the introduction.

Plus most of his evil probs doesn’t come till Neverland

I completely agree. But I guess the whole point behind the villains in this show is that something horrible happened to them to make them evil. For Regina, it was her mother, for Rumple it was the fear of losing Bae, and now for Hook it is the death of his love. So he probably got worse after Mila died.

Mila reminded me of Elizabeth Swan from Pirates of the Caribbean…a lady wanting more of an exciting life who falls in love with a pirate.
I think I was expecting Hook to be more threatening with his hook…though this time he didn’t get it until later.
As for Cora and Hook at the end I am wondering if NeverLand got sucked away in the curse and Hook is stuck in the Enchanted Forest…for now anyways.October 22, 2012 at 4:35 am #157514princesssnowParticipantI like Hook thus far, though I can possibly be biased because I find him oh so hot. 😆
But, yeah, I was expecting more villainy from him. I think he will prove himself to be pretty evil in the coming episodes. For him to be teaming up with Cora, he’s gotta be a baddie.

Even Rumple started out relatively good, as did Regina. This was Hooks origin story. You may have been expecting him to be the uber villain right off the bat, but don’t be mad that he wasn’t a supervillain.
October 22, 2012 at 4:48 am #157519TheGoldenKeyParticipantI liked him. I was afraid that I’d be seeing someone trying to do copy Jack Sparrow or Cyril Ritchard. Instead I saw a unique Hook, one in which Colin brought his own little characteristics to. If that makes any sense? Sometimes the worst villains can be the most charming. That’s what makes them so dangerous.

When Rumple killed Milah he seemed upset, but not completely broken. I think it may have just been infatuation for him but not love. At the end he said he wanted revenge, but I think it may be more for losing his hand then killing Milah

He also tried to stop Rumple from ripping out her heart before Rumple tied him to the mast, he lied about her being alive to protect her and even told her to run instead of risking herself to save him. I think they both loved each other and the hand thing was secondary to losing Milah
