Hook and Swan, definitely. All the way. I wanna see more Hook, but I love the idea of him, and Emma. That would be TV’s new power couple. Snow and Charming are great to watch too, but Charming’s a sissy.

But Hook is just fine with this thievery, open double crossing, and heart ripping? hehe

But Hook is just fine with this thievery, open double crossing, and heart ripping? heheHe’s also the one that left her high and dry, framed her and got her sent to jail making her loose faith everything and making it so she has a lot of trust issues (and don’t bring up the whole it was for her own good because I hate that trope it’s bull)
First of all if we’re looking at influences they both suck in that department but then again so does Emma (and Snow if want to go that far considering she was a thief as well), Yes Emma is the savior but Emma was also a thief (and she almost kidnapped henry) she’s pretty much entirely shades of grey so let’s not get into shipwars please..
We’ve all got our opinions and we’re all entitled to them so there really is no use for fighting is there?
December 7, 2012 at 12:01 am #163952elleParticipantI certainly agree that Emma has shades of grey–all the characters pretty much do when you think about it. Some more than others, though. And I agree that we’ve all got our opinions with couples–but it is cool to have a healthy discussion. 🙂 That is what thess discusson boards are for. 🙂
That said, for the moment, I don’t really want to pair anyonewith Emma. She has had it tough so far, an has barely even gotten a break. She hasn’t gotten to spend anytime with parents–in safe circumstances, not fighting for their lives. She hasn’t seen Henry in weeks, and she has to figure out her magic.
Also, Emma hasn’t really looked at Captain Hook romantically. It might change, though I a just curious as to how this ship became so popular in the first place.

Holy…. crap. LOL
Taking things a bit too personal and/or defensively, eh? I wasn’t even dissing Hook and Emma getting together. I didn’t say anything about any ship.
Just pointed out that saying Neal was a bad influence but not Hook is just… well, funny.
Because they’re both bad influences. She’s a bad influence. Like you said, they’re all screw ups.
I have absolutely no interest in any type of “ship war.” But, I do have my opinion and will express it. Wasn’t arguing. So… thanks so kindly for freaking out.

Sorry I didn’t make myself clear I wasn’t implying that you were dissing anyone or that you wanted to diss anyone I was talking in general (sadly it’s been my experience that these kinds of things escalate to shipwars which really are the worst) didn’t mean to imply anything just being preemptive.. So I apologize sometimes the things in my head don’t translate completely when I write them down
Yes they’re all screw ups that’s why I love them (because I don’t hate Neal btw I don’t particually like him a lot yet but I don’t hate him)
I agree she has not looked at him romantically (she recognizes a kindred soul and she almost trusted him in tallahassee hence the leaving him up there with the giant) and I don’t want them together right that would be all kinds of bad (it’s alright in fic but in the show nope) mostly because neither of them are at a place where a relationship could work
Emma needs to learn to open herself and trust others (and she needs closure over Neal before she can start anything with anyone, even Neal himself) and she needs to like you said spend time with her family and get to know her father (i’m singling him out because she knows/loves/trusts henry and she’s basically either already trusting snow or she’s almost there…but she doesn’t know Charming and she wasn’t a fan of David) and there is nothing that I’m looking forward to more than Charming/Emma scenes (I need them, especially since they are soo alike!)
Hook is all focused on his revenge and until he does something with that he won’t be able to move on to anything, not love not friendship
I shipped them from the first promo of emma holding a knife to his neck (I’m weird I know) and I know some of my friends shipped them from that point as well but I think it got popular after their interactions in Tallahassee and it just escalated from there

See the comment in bold red. That’s up to the writers….and how they choose to let the slate they have impact what they do, or choose not to do.
They can unite Emma and Hook in season 3, and make it all fit…if they want to.

Exactly. It is their show.
Not so exactly: I don’t watch a tv show to ooh and aww over a writer’s artistic abilities. I watch for the character. Why does anybody become attached to a tv character? As I said in a post, I watch a tv show because I want to escape from reality for a little while. Why might a writer be blind to that? Because they’re too close to the forest, to see the trees.
If Hook dies, that’ll be the last straw for me. Like said elsewhere, not that anybody cares, I’m just saying so. I won’t be able to watch the show anymore. I’m tired of people who live in a vacuum, dragging my heart through the dirt.
December 7, 2012 at 2:33 am #163977elleParticipantSadly, people are defensive of their opinions, and they can defend them a bi agressively. 🙂 But this whole site is meant for everyone to come in a discuss their theories and opinions.
I do agree that before Emma can start anything, she needs to be with her family, and especially get to know her father. 🙂 All she really has of him were his actions from last season, and that is poor representation since he was curse. I’ve been waiting for them to spend time together for so long!
She also does need to open. She may have allowed her walls to go down a bit, but she still keeps them high up.
I think she feels a connection to him, just not sure where it will go.
