I saw earlier that MRJ has been upgraded to series regular for season 3. Will Colin also be a series regular this upcoming season?

Yes! MRJ was added to the cast list and the only member to be removed as a regular was Meghan which we really already knew about. Colin is around for S3 and it should be a lot, he has parted ways with his band probably because of how much time OUAT will take.

Confirmed? Because I have to admit, I was wondering how much longer he could juggle an up and coming indie band* based in Ireland with an acting career increasingly based in North America. Watched something on you tube that was an interview with the band, and they mentioned something about him taking breaks to do acting, like The Rite. Well, a tv show is a lot more time consuming than a movie, if you’re a regular… couldn’t see how he could continue with it much longer.
* I’m being nice. Listened to a few clips on You Tube, they really didn’t do anything for me…. 🙄
Colin tweeted a couple of days that he was parting ways with his band after 10 years. They seem pretty supportive of him still and tweeted back saying he was welcome back on stage with them anytime and wished him well. Emilie de Ravin started a whole tweet thing with the cast trying to form an OUAT band after that tweet he sent out. Love that this cast is so supportive of each other! I’m sure it wasn’t an easy decision for him to leave, especially after so long. He was definitely confirmed as a regular for S3 and he was a regular for the backend of season 2 and didn’t do this til now (officially anyway) so they must have told him they’d need him around a bunch I would think. Yay for us though!

Yes, I loved how Emilie started @ replying everyone in the cast, trying to line up who was gonna play what in the OUAT band, and I hope it lifted Colin’s spirits. He’s been a part of The Enemies for a decade, they’re gearing up for their first album coming out, and he’s had to step aside. Gotta be a rough situation for him, no matter how exciting and fulfilling it is that his acting career is taking off.
I don’t think this was a serious conversation about a Once Upon A Time band. I mean, Colin offered to play the triangle. He professionally plays guitar. Keegan O’Connor Tracy said the harp would be more appropriate for the “Irishman” (like we don’t know who that is). Colin wanted to call his band Neverband (Never a band?). This was all a joke, aside from his exit from The Enemies and no, there is no “official” annoncement confirming his participation in season 3. There should be, I mean when MRJ was made regular for season 2 there was an announcement made about it.. No such thing regarding Colin yet and far as The Enemies congratulating Colin on season 3, I am not totally convinced I can put money on anything they say, other than maybe that water is wet.
MRJ was not made a regular until S3.
Colin was made a regular in S2 (the second half) and there have been no changes. When the UPfronts happened for ABC they released the cast list and the only one missing was Meghan Ory who is moving to CBS, Colin was still on there. There is no need to confirm Colin because he was already a cast member and will continue to be so.
