Like WR, if I didn’t ship RegalHood (or RegalArrow), I might be on the Hooked Queen ship. I can see how they understand each other in ways that others don’t. They both are viewed in a certain light and I think both are beginning to realize that it might not be the path they wish to travel.

Probably means nothing since Regina’s new love interest is supposedly going to be Robin Hood in S3."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

Maybe they’ll just be “frenemies” and nothing more, but there’s no denying they share a certain connection. Just look at this conversation between Hook and Regina in 3×1 The Heart of The Truest Believer:
Regina: Greg Mendel said something funny to me. He said I’m a villain, and that villains don’t get happy endings. You believe that? Hook: I hope not — or we’ve wasted our lives.
It’s interesting to look back four years later and see what was written about HookedQueen back in the day, especially given recent events and Lana and Colin staying on in S7. At OUAT Chicago (June 2017), Colin and Lana both discussed stories that they would like to see in S7. Colin said that it would be fun to explore more of the history of Hook and the Evil Queen. I found it especially interesting that Colin said both he and Lana had been told Hook and EQ had shared something between them. At the end, Lana Parilla even joked that she’d like to see who Regina “hooks up with” in season 7! You can watch the video below. I could almost see them being end game.

The sass level would’ve been amazing and I think their romance would’ve worked in a narrative way that neither Hook/Emma nor Regina/Robin ever did (from my perspective).
But it also has to be said that pairing them up now in season seven would be a mistake. That ship has sailed. Maybe in the fan re-written version.

It’s so amazing looking back on old threads and seeing our old theories and headcannons!!! It’s hard to believe it’s been 4-6 years already!!! I miss the good old days!
As for HookedQueen….you know there has always been chemistry there between Hook and Regina, and Colin & Lana have all but confirmed that the two have had “occasional hook-ups”….and to be honest, it would’ve made a lot more sense. Their crimes and sins are technically parallel, not toe mention their past obsession with revenge….I think they understand one another better than anyone else understood them, aside from Rumple of course.
It’s too late to do anything about it now, but if Adam & Eddy actually went through with this idea in the past, and actually put work into it….Hook & Regina could have been some real Bonnie & Clyde ish.

September 21, 2017 at 10:52 am #342035Ranisha PittsParticipantIt was a real miss opportunity. Not to mention a dynamic and fun story line, it would be very marketable for Disney. Evil Queen and Captain Hook. Imagine the Cosplay fun.
Hook eating an apple off his Hook. Oh it would just have been very fun and entertaining to watch.

September 21, 2017 at 2:34 pm #342041SlurpeezParticipantColin and Lana would probably get on board with HookedQueen happening in S7 if the writers chose it. Colin and Lana were joking around about it. Maybe they want to have a compelling story line for their characters going forward. Imagine how confused they might have been behind closed doors — at least I would have been. Lana must’ve at least questioned why Robin Hood was ever in the picture for Regina if he was so easily cast aside in such a dumb way. Colin might be less confused about why Hook and Emma won’t continue (it’s clearly because Jennifer Morrison left the show), but he might be questioning what his character’s purpose is going forward. Hook on his own is not a lead character, and he was at most only ever a love interest, not a central character, not even during the Neverland arc when he should have been. Trying to make Hook central now might not go so well, and making him Regina’s new love interest would make some sense from a narrative and character perspective.
