I would’ve been on board with HQ, but now….I just can’t! Like…for Regina to get a “clone” version of Hook would be the laziest writing OUAT has done. Like Emma gets the real Hook, but Regina gets the fake one….no, no, no, no. You know what….just reunite EQ & Regina, and hopefully by now Wish Realm Robin would have become Regina’s Robin Hood, and just bring OutlawQueen back. He may be a clone, but at least he’d be the clone of her soulmate.

I reserve judgement on whether it’s something I would actually want to see, because really it depends on what this Hook2 ends up being like, and the visual of seeing Regina and Hook being a thing just feels wrong at the moment because I’m so conditioned to seeing him being with Henry’s other mother. But if trying to reason out potential logic for it happening…I could totally see them going there.
Wasn’t there some interview or convention or something during hiatus where Lana and/or Colin were talking about how Hook and Regina totally had a thing going on back around the time she hired him to kill Cora? I don’t remember specifics of what was said or when, I just remember thinking, “Oh damn, the shippers aren’t gonna like them talking about that.” LOL But maybe they were bringing it up back then because they’d been informed that it was gonna come up again this season?
If Hook1 and Hook2’s stories were the same up until the Curse did/didn’t happen, then if they make it canon that they hooked up that one time in the past, both our Regina and Hook2 have a memory of that. So there’s a canon basis for them to build something more onto.
And now they’re gonna be traipsing around EF2 together, and Regina’s gonna get to know the story about Hook2’s long lost daughter, and as a single parent herself, who is there looking after her child, that’s the perfect situation for Regina to start empathising with Hook2. The woman already has a history of “this Wish Realm version of a person isn’t the same as the version from my world”, so the concept of Hook2 NOT being Hook1 is probably easier for Regina to wrap her brain around than it is for most viewers, so she likely wouldn’t be resistant to it if she did develop an attraction towards him.
Like I said, I dunno if I like it or not. But I do think they’ve set it up pretty well for it to happen.
Oh I think it’s totally possible because anything on this show is now possible. From Hook2 standpoint, sure why not. He has no history with Regina at all, but from Regina’s standpoint…eh. He might be Hook2 but he’s still (some version of) Hook, a person Regina has quite a history with and it’s not exactly…good. I think they’ve set it up, but I also think they’ve set up Hook looking for his baby’s mama and getting back together with her (crack theory: it’s the “Witch” who kidnapped his daughter).
Or who knows. Maybe we can find Ariel2 and @Phee and I can finally get our Hookriel

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I think characterwise Regina thinks Hook is an idiot, so she wouldn’t date him. The problem being that these characters are completely inconsistent from one moment to the next. If Emma can date Hook then so can Regina.
The second problem being that i think the majority of the audience of this show disliked Emma dating Hook, so they definitely don’t want Regina to date him. I don’t want anyone to date Hook and this version of Hook is no better then the regular Hook.
I think they are going to bring in love interests for both of them, i just hope it is not each other. It certainly could be though because these writers are ridiculous.
Or who knows. Maybe we can find Ariel2 and @phee and I can finally get our Hookriel
OMG DON’T TEASE!!!! Hook2 became a single father because his daughter’s mother had to go back to live in the ocean. The witch who locked up his daughter is actually Ursula.

I doubt that. For one if the baby mama was relevant Hook would have brought her up, but all he did was bring up the daughter. To me that is significant, it means they’ve setup that his daughter is his TL. The mother is either dead or abandoned both of them.

Ah, but Roni and Jolly don’t have any history, as far as they know. They’re like Ensign Ro and Commander Riker in the ST:TNG episode “Conundrum”, when the crew lost their memories.
