I’m a big Captainswan shipper and believe that at some eventual point those two will end up together (they have so much in common), however if H&K pair Hook and Regina, if that means Hook’s going to be around in season 3, then I won’t mind that at all. It could be interesting. Regina needs true love again, and that could open the door for more of Neal. Hook is awesome, and Neal’s one cool dude.

Heros don't get their Happy Ending!
May 1, 2013 at 6:37 pm #190452CrownedWithLaurelsParticipantI enjoyed their interactions this past ep. Never really enjoyed the thought until “The Evil Queen”. He could be her hero in this moment, and Regina desperately needs one. I liked the common thread they had about revenge. I think its something that could be explored. Regina has a ton of walls too. I mean she lies about everything (my husband and I were listing them the other day). She lies about stuff that doesn’t even matter! Lol. And that is indicative of the amount of walls she has up and I could tell in her face and her eyes (let’s give it up for Lana Parilla’s acting skills) that she was letting herself be a little vulnerable in the way she was listening to Hook speak.
And in the way she was trying to tell him, “you don't even know these people, why do you trust them?”
I enjoyed that line from her. She amazes me how she is able to act the cookies out of small simple lines like that.A thought to add: I am looking forward to Hook’s “moment of truth” and I think the whole GOAT ordeal will kick him into gear as far as realizing what is at stake for everyone. After last week’s ep he is already well on his way.

What if CaptainEvil happens before CaptainSwan, then Regina would have a feud with Emma because not only did Emma “steal” Henry from Regina, she would’ve also stolen Hook in Regina’s eyes especially after Emma stole Graham.

Only, they end up really connecting. Hm if it gets any soaper, I’ll have to forgo the cookies and have a bubble bath.
I could see Regina and Hook bonding as they really do have things in common but just yet I have to agree they are not likely to bring out the best in each other.

It was very interesting that Hook admits that he felt they’d had a moment when they connected. For me, his musing while under the library has been his most meaningful dialogue, and it’s lovely that he shared that realization with Regina, as she needs it. I also loved how she called him on the fact that he didn't really know the people he was working for with GOAT and that it wasn't worth the price. Hook's expression said he knew she was right.
They do have the potential to connect and bring out their better selves together. It depends on the writers. I find it noteworthy that when Hook first asked Regina about why she wanted Cora’s heart ripped out, Regina got so defensive. According to the same scene, Regina knows the details of Hook’s loss of Milah. Whatever Hook might suspect, that scene suggests that his discovering Regina’s full past could be significant between them.
