What on earth—Hook made a deal with Pan? What?! What sort of deal? Speculate cause my mouth hit the floor with that.
We know that Hook made some sort of deal to get out of NL?
Did it involve Bae? Did it involve Henry? Did it involve Rumple?

That’s interesting. But would Hook really agree to help kidnap a child? Even if he had no intent? Though intent is everything, isn’t it?

But would Hook agree? Beneath the pirate, he’s shown repeatedly that he does place a premium on “good form” (which is Barrie canon)
October 21, 2013 at 9:22 am #217667RumplesGirlKeymasterSince I’m on TeamBrothers, I don’t think PP really wants his brother dead, despite their differences. We also think that PP can see the future meaning he knew the Curse was coming and that Hook would fail in his quest for vengeance. So the deal could have been, “I’ll let you leave NL if you promise to kill the Dark ONe, because he is an old enemy of mine.” I sorta don’t want to believe that it had anything to do with Henry because even if Hook had no intention of following through in bringing Henry to PP, the fact that he would agree to it is a bit disquieting.

Not knowing that PP had planned to free Bae all along in order to meet Emma. Would Hook ask for a guarantee or some sort of token of truth?

So that’s how and when Bae ended up living in the cave instead? Though, Hook knew about the cave, so Bae had to have been there at some point before Hook left. I do like the idea of Hook having made a deal that benefited Bae.
Considering the promo, I’m wondering if this deal could even be something Pan planted the seed for way back before Hook became a pirate. Maybe it was an, “I’ll make you a pirate Captain, and one day, you’ll owe me,” situation, and Hook had to do something for Pan in order to get out of NL?
October 21, 2013 at 10:28 am #217682RumplesGirlKeymasterOk headcanon time:
I think Hook and Pan have made several deals. I’m about to go into promo territory so I’ll black it out.
I think Hook first met Pan when he was an officer in the Navy (from the promo). I suspect after Nasty Habits that they actually meet in the EF. Peter made Hook a deal: I’ll make you a captain of this ship and I’ll make your ship enchanted, the fastest ship in the world if you’ll do something for me. He asks Hook to bring him things–stuff he needs for his plan. I’m not going to say boys because that’s just doesn’t sit right with me. Eventually, being under Pan’s thumb, Hook and his crew become less honorable and more pirate like. At some point, PP tells Hook to go to Rumple and Milah’s village and get something for him–though this really a set up. There Hook meets Milah and we know the rest of that story. When Hook goes to NL events unfold like we saw in 222. After Bae leaves, Hook begins to plan his revenge in earnest and goes to PP to make a deal: let me off this island and someday you’ll release Bae and let him return to the world.
