I’m listening to the latest podcast right now and they’re talking about hook’s ship and I just wanted to throw out the suggestion do you think possibly what we saw was the ship entering the boundaries storybrooke? I like the idea that it was just a perspective to viewers inside the cloaked ship, but the first thing I thought was “oh! They just entered StoryBrooke”. Thoughts?

Magic done inside of SB (like the cloaking of the ship) should stay while outside of SB (like the shawl) but no new magic can be done outside of it. Therefore the cloaking should have stayed put.
When we first saw the scene we saw it come into view but I think it’s much like when we saw characters board the cloaked ship, we were suddenly invited into that view but to everybody else it’s still just a cloaked ship. They were more than likely close to SB at the time, but I still think it was cloaked. When they arrived on the dock they showed up in a little life raft so it’s hard to tell. Originally I thought that the Jolly Roger was nowhere to be seen and therefore they jumped off of it and it was still cloaked but they were tying up a little boat so I guess they couldn’t get close to the dock they needed (which is bizarre cause the JR was perfectly fine at that other spot and had plenty of room but I guess they needed to get where they wouldn’t be dragging Gold down a long pier to get to the car Snowing was waiting for them with. Also – the people driving the ship wouldn’t have known where the usual spot was. Gold would but NealFire & Bae were driving.
Either way I still think it’s probably cloaked and we just got an inside view as the ship crossed our path and not that it crossed the SB line. I could see it either way though.

March 14, 2013 at 10:35 pm #180012MysteryKat25ParticipantThat…is an entirely different question and more than possible. That also begs the question of what happens to other random stuff that has been affected by magic: for instance, would that poor fisherman get turned back into a person instead of staying a fish? And goodness knows what other things would stop being affected by spells but I can’t remember for sure if there was anything else that specifically said what would happen in that case.

Though they left Hook tied up, he has a way of getting out of those situations. Though that makes me wonder, how much angrier is he going to be when he realizes they jacked his ride!

I cannot wait for Hook to come back into the story. I’m curious about how he’s going to get there and what his reactions are gonna be, especially to his ship!
He never stays angry at Emma for too long though and I’m sure she’ll be the go-between for a lot of various people who are at odds with each other.

I agree. Tamara has a an agenda that's not yet obvious and she is possibly a shady character per the latest spoilers from Lana. I wouldn’t put anything past her. She could come to Neal’s apartment looking for Neal and find Hook tied up. Then get him to Storybrook.
March 18, 2013 at 11:44 am #180658swanning-offParticipantI think in light of the shimmery invisible boundary we saw on the edges of Storybrooke in the flashback episode, that they did just pop through into SB from the outside world.
Still hanging out to see how Hook gets back from New York.
