Executive producer, Adam Horowitz, has just tweeted the official titles for episodes 4-6:
Episode 4: The Crocodile is Rumpel-centric
Episode 5: The Doctor features Dr. Whale’s story
Episode 6: Tallahassee is speculated to be Emma-centric. Tallahassee is in FL. Interesting.[adrotate group="5"]"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

Yeah, this theory is sounding more and more plausible.

And, yeah, there are a lot of Frankenstein connections!

Very interesting titles. I notice that they’re mostly one word titles this season, so far, for some reason.
-“The Crocodile” – It’s nice to have confirmation on this.
I just wanted to add this tweet from Jane Espenson,
We watched ep 204 (season 2/ep 4) in the room this week– might be my fave ep to date. You will love! #OnceUponATime
Mmm, I’m thinking it might be because of one or two things or perhaps both. The first thing is knowing how much she loved Spike on “Buffy”, I bet Hook will be one of her favorites to write for, so I could see how he could make this a favorite episode for her. Or it could be because the angst factor is through the roof because the woman does love her angst, imo, so with that in mind, I think it’s even more likely that Jospehine’s idea of Bae’s very early years being like the folk song “The House Carpenter” is going to turn out to be even more likely. Or it could be because of Hook and the angst.
All I have to say is damn, if this episode has as much angst as I think it’s going too, I can’t even imagine how many tissues I’m going to need while I’m watching it. Also, poor Bae. 😥 He better get his happy ending if this episode is as depressing as I think it’s going to be when we find out what happened to his mom.
-“The Doctor” – In a way, I will feel sort of cheated if Dr. Whale does turn out to be Frankenstein only because David Anders said that it would be something that no one has guessed, when Frankenstein is a really popular guess out there. I know he can’t say that someone already guessed it because it would give it away, but I wish he hadn’t said that no one guessed it. Plus, I like the Puss in Boots/Cheshire Cat theory better now because those are real magical characters whereas Dr. Frankenstein never had any magical powers.
-“Tallahassee” – I’m most excited about this one. Finally, an Emma-centric episode that might contain flashbacks!!! I’m confused on how the timeline would work though because if this episode is about her meeting Henry’s dad, then why would Tallahassee be important since that came after she already gave up Henry for adoption. Maybe she was trying to find him because of whatever he did like if she saw him kill someone or something along those lines? Did she settle in Tallahassee after getting out of prison, but then he found her again and that’s why she moved several times after that?
I love that Jane Espenson wrote this episode. She’s not the most perfect writer since she does have some duds, but she’s wrote my three favorite episodes, “The Return”, “Desperate Souls”, and “Skin Deep”. I wonder if Henry’s dad/Bae will be one of her pets then because that would be good in a way. Not that I want him to be overused and create backlash or become a Mary Sue/Gary Stu, but hopefully I won’t get the latter where it seems like the writers just absolutely hate the character because they don’t know what to do with him/her.

When David Anders said That, Frankenstein was not a very popular guess at all.

For me, it was, but then I spend a lot of time reading various OUaT forums looking for spoilers. I know at TWoP when Dr. Whale was first introduced, someone already came up with the theory that he was Dr. Frankenstein, and I saw it increasingly more popular as time went by especially after the spoilers leaked of David Anders running around with a cooler and that special green thing on his arm.
September 25, 2012 at 2:31 pm #154520obisgirlParticipantI had a dream a few nights ago that Dr. Whale had two identities in FT world: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. That would be interesting.
