How did Hook get to NYC?

I think there are a lot of gaps to be filled in, since we still don’t know how and when Hook ended up in NYC. It seems like Hook was never part of the second curse, since at the end of the show, David said they were trapped in the town. So, Hook couldn’t have come to NYC via SB, because he wasn’t trapped. He is free to come and go. Hook didn’t know what effects the curse had on the people of SB. Somehow Hook escaped the new curse. Hook took off from the rest of the group early on in order to look for his ship and only learned about the curse and SB being recreated via a message. So the questions in my mind are (1) How did Hook get to NYC? (2) Who sent him a message?

2) How did he get to NYC

3) What happened after he let the Charmings?

4) Who sent him the message?

5) How did he find Emma?

6) Why did he only have ONE memory potion

7) How did he escape the Curse?

All I can say is I am pretty confident that Hook is not working with the Witch, like some have theorized. I think Walsh made it pretty clear that the Witch wanted Emma to stay where she was and not come anywhere near Storybrooke. But if it wasn’t the Witch who sent Hook the note, than who was it? Hmmm….

Agreed.

If it’s someone we know who sent him, my first suspect is Blue. We know she knows how to make the memory potion, and someone told Hook how to make it.

So many questions to be answered!

All I can say is I am pretty confident that Hook is not working with the Witch, like some have theorized. I think Walsh made it pretty clear that the Witch wanted Emma to stay where she was and not come anywhere near Storybrooke. But if it wasn’t the Witch who sent Hook the note, than who was it? Hmmm….

I don’t think he’s working for the Witch unless it’s some sort of elaborate double cross.

But I do think he’s working for someone because obviously he is in communication with someone that is not Snowing.

Ok. I am going to throw out some ideas.

Hook went to get the Jolly Roger because according to him, it’s his home. Make sense.

So the JR IS in the EF somewhere and Hook finds it.

Maybe along the way he finds..a bean? some magic dust? A fairy? Something else?

But then how does he get the potion? Does he meet the BF somewhere? (where is she..)

Tiara just posted something in the chat that reminded me of the crack theory I posted several days ago, that it was Rumple who had sent the note with Neal’s address on it to Hook. He could have also given Hook other instructions, about getting to Emma and making the potion.

I think Rumple is a really good bet. But why Hook? Isn’t that the last person Rumple would send it too? Can he not find Belle or Neal?

Here are my thoughts/theories for the questions–

1. maybe Blue helped him to make it–she did make the potions for Belle and Sneezy. Or perhaps, somehow Rumple was able to make it and send it to him?

2. maybe he somehow hooked a ride with a flying monkey–maybe flying monkeys can make portals/pass worlds and he followed one through??? I am curious to see how this is explained.

3. I think after he leaves the Charmings, the Charmings/Queen/Merry Men fight against the WW and she uses Regina’s blood to enact the curse

4. I am hoping that somehow Rumple or Neal sent him the message–the Charmings didn’t know so it couldn’t of been them

5. How he found Emma—maybe the same way he found Rumple/Emma/and Neal in NYC–or maybe he used the compass?

6. Only materials were available to make 1 potion? Not sure

7. As to how he escaped the curse, maybe he was in another land? Maybe WW didn’t want him taken? Regina says, “I brought who I wanted.” Maybe WW didn’t want him to be a part of curse?

Just my thoughts, can’t wait for the rest of the season to see what actually happens!:)
