312: Alas I could only scavenge together enough for one dose of the memory potion. 313: There was a small vial of memory potion tied to its leg. Writing continuity glitch, or was he embellishing the story a bit in 312? Anyway, good to know how he got the message. My money is still on Neal having been the one who sent it.
I wonder if he tried to find more memory potion but couldn’t find any more knowing that he’d probably need 2 doses if the TLK long shot didn’t work on Emma. That might explain why he said he could only scavenge enough for 1 dose. Emma would know that he was lying either way if he embellished about how he got the potion.
I don’t think she would know, if he embellished in the sense of being dramatic but not telling a straight up lie. “I couldn’t find any more” is true whether you searched hard and didn’t find any or you didn’t really look but as you didn’t, well, you couldn’t find more.

I think the full story is something we’re not getting. Not saying Hook is setting Emma up or anything but rather the full story is much deeper (and stranger) than we might thing.
The promo for 3×14 shows Emma questioning Hook about what else he isn’t telling her. So, he’d holding back something. The question now become what is he not telling Emma and why?

Zelena said she was going to take everything away from Regina, and the most important thing to Regina is Henry. It makes me think that Zelena may have been the one to send Hook the potion. Zelena made sure he only had enough potion for one, because she wanted Henry not to remember Regina. Regina said being in the same town as Henry while he doesn’t remember her is the worst sort of curse. Maybe sending Walsh to NYC to keep an eye on Emma and Henry was just a decoy. Perhaps what Zelena really wants is Henry.

I now wonder if Smee has anything to do with how Hook got to NY. Smee has a knack for finding valuable objects like the magic beans. He’s also loyal to Hook. What if Smee knew how or where to find the memory potion and/or knew another way to get back to the Land Without Magic. He has to be in 3×17 for a reason other then just being Hook’s sidekick.
