Could it have something to do with this new idea of fate? I think so this could be either a quick fix to the problem OR help along the actual story of when and how Henry got to Storybrooke. What do you think?

Last season, I assumed that Gold always retained his memories until the creators confirmed he remembered upon hearing Emma’s name. So now the question is how on earth did Henry end up in Storybrooke? I have to wonder if maybe August had something to do with it.
February 19, 2013 at 6:12 pm #174317RumplesGirlKeymasterI think the first question we have to ask is why did Regina suddenly want a child? I’m of the opinion that the idea was planted into her head by a certain Blue Fairy (Mother Superior) who has had her memories this whole time. She’s the head nun, so it would make sense for her to handle the adoption of Henry. My theory rests on the idea that Blue and August have been in cahoots for awhile, with him being her errand boy in the outside world since she can’t leave SB. August got baby Henry, delivered him to Blue in SB, who turned around and gave him to Mr. Gold who was in charge of setting up the adoption, him being a lawyer and all.

My theory was that he left Henry in front of Mary-Margaret’s door with the book. Gold, collecting rent then found him and seeing Regina asked for a baby, brought him to her, but he left the book… It does not quite add up though if Gold did not know what he was doing. And who told Henry who his mom was?

Like a back up plan in case he couldn’t get her to go on his own. I like the BF told August to get Henry theory too.

I think the one problem with the first part of your theory is that it would imply that August isn’t a really selfish person. All evidence points to the opposite, in my opinion. From taking Emma’s money, leaving her (on multiple occasions), he wasn’t built to say no to the pleasures and freedoms of this world. So I don’t think it was out of the goodness of his heart, I think he’s been taking orders from Blue.

For some reason I always over look the fact that he’s selfish. I guess that I want to believe he could do some good on his own. Keeping with what you said, BF would have told him to get back to Emma to break up her and Neal up. This would explain why August knew who Neal was etc…It fits. Then just wonder how BF got in contact with August if he was out running around being bad. Why didn’t she bring him back to Emma sooner
My question mark key isn’t working btwFebruary 19, 2013 at 7:22 pm #174329GrimmsisterParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

Oh come on!! people are not that one sided and that’s not how they are trying to write these characters either. He might have done selfish thoughtless things but that does not make him selfish and thoughtless period. I have faith that he is at least capable of choosing differently. Even if he was born a puppet, aren’t we all ?-Your opinion is wrong…
You know I’m just messing with you with that last comment right?
-But I still think I’m right 😉February 19, 2013 at 7:31 pm #174333KebParticipantI half suspect August somehow knew that Emma was pregnant at that point, even though she and Neal apparently didn’t. A baby would have led to their settling down somewhere, and Emma’s having no reason to go to Storybrooke. A baby in Storybrooke, on the other hand…
But even if he didn’t know already, he was paying attention at that point–at least for a little while–and probably thought it prudent to get the baby to Storybrooke. Perhaps Regina adopted the child when it arrived in Storybrooke because she didn’t want anyone else raising it and perhaps accidentally breaking the curse by realizing that Henry wasn’t like the others? And then she started to love him–all the more when Emma threatened her prime position in his life. She may have questioned how the child arrived, but she had to handle the problem somehow, and so it wasn’t so much a sudden desire to be a mother as a way to deal with something unexpected.

Maybe Henry was first given to Rum first because he is Henry’s gpa and/or Rum deals in children. 😆 And then Regina took him because Henry was an outsider and Rum didn’t know what to do with the kid. Just trying to make the leap between August bringing Henry to town and Rum giving Henry to Regina.
