HOW did SPENCER know where the HAT was hidden?
PC took the hat and locked it up…. I assume in a safe place… So how did SPENCER ( I will no longer call him King.) know where to get the hat … and how did he get it?
Another thought…. If SPENCER was KING then where are his soldiers in SB? I guess REGINA did not bring them over.
Do we need to see everything … Or is it okay to have things happen in the background / behind the scenes to move things along. I think we have been calling them PLOT HOLES. … I know a lot of people get upset with them.
What do you consider a PLOT HOLE? Do they really bother you? or can you gloss over them and enjoy the show for what it is?
Just wondering cause I have nothing better to do….

Maybe one of the dwarves double-crossed David? whatever happened to Sneezy after he crossed the new storybrooke border? They brought him back into town – so he’s a possibility. Was he at the mine in this episode do you recall?

November 12, 2012 at 7:50 am #160368frumpybutsupersmartParticipantI didn’t catch that, but that’s probably where he’d have hidden it, seeing as he probably didn’t think anyone would be after it. And it’s the first place I would have looked if I were Spencer.
November 12, 2012 at 8:21 am #160372PheeParticipantLarge plot holes bug me, but small things we’re left to assume explanations for don’t. This is the latter. He’s a resourceful and powerful guy in both worlds, so tracking down where Charming hid the hat wouldn’t have been a hard task for him.
PS. Nope there was no Sneezy in the mine. Made a point to count dwarves and there were only 6.

Yes, he is powerful guy in both FTL and Storybrooke, but I didn’t like that he got a hold of two vital pieces of clothing that the heroes need in the same episode without any explanation for how he got a hold of them. Of course, I didn’t really enjoy this episode compared to the other episodes this season. I thought there was too much filler, so that could be clouding my opinion about the whole hat thing too.
The one positive if there can be a positive about the hat story line is that I saw that the Blue Fairy became a suspect on another board, because it might be suspicious that she told David that as long as he had Jefferson’s hat, then his family could return, but lo and behold right before that can happen, somehow Jefferson’s hat winds up with King George. Not that she has to be behind it getting to King George, of course, but it could be one of those clues that people come back to later on if there turns out to be more to her than just being a weak, but benevolent character.
I also think this opens up the door to the other hat that Emma made coming into play if someone ever finds it and realizes what it could do, so that’s a positive too.
November 12, 2012 at 1:43 pm #160403RumplesGirlKeymasterYeah, the hat AND Ruby’s cloak. How did he get Ruby’s coat?! How did he even know what it was?
To add fuel to the whole “Blue cannot be trusted” theory, wouldn’t she know about both items and their magical properties? The question revolves around why would she give them to George, unless she wasn’t ready to go back? Blue still has a lot to answer for in my opinion.

Poor Blue Fairy/Mother Superior has become the scapegoat for everything that goes wrong in the lives of the SB residents. 🙂 I think her actions are suspicious when it comes to working with August, procuring baby Henry’s adoption, and causing Emma to arrive in SB. Beyond that, I’m starting to doubt that she’s the real mastermind behind the dark curse, rather than Rumpelstiltskin. She did have a gleam in her eye when she gave the portal-jumping bean to Baelfire, but beyond that, there’s no real evidence to suggest she wanted the dark curse to happen. She may have just wanted Rumpel to suffer the price of his own dark magic and to protect Baelfire. Also, I don’t think the BF is working for King George. I think he’s just plain bitter to the core due to his own dashed hopes of having a family. He said so himself several times he wants Charming to suffer as he did.
