Rumple visits the EQ on snow white and charming’s wedding and tells her about the curse and then she goes and threatens them right?
When she returns her father reminds her that she gave it away. (how did she give it away if she didn’t know about it yet?) She goes to Malificent and gets back, tried to enact the curse but nothing.
Her father then suggests she goes to see the person who gave it to her in the first place which we know is Rumple.
OK
So when did they imprison him?
When did Malificent get the curse from Regina?
and how is it that this whole thing happens in one night ?I’m a little confused about this time line because it’s a huge part of the story and it’s quiet a mess tbh…anyone care to try an explain?
and if this was discussed before, My apologies i didn’t find anything.

If you notice, EQ threatens Snow and Charming on their wedding day, but by the time she enacts the Dark Curse, Snow is ready to give birth, so at least 9 months passes between the time EQ threatens them and when she actually goes through with it.
Rumple was imprisoned sometime in between when EQ threatens SW/Charming at the wedding and when EQ goes to vistit him about why the Dark Curse didn’t work.
Rumple being imprisoned happened when Cinderella was visibly pregnant.
Her and Snow seemed to be pregnant around the same time, considering that Snow gave birth right before the curse hit, and Cinderella was still pregnant in SB (technically, she was pregnant for 28 yrs) but then gave birth shortly after Emma arrived in SB and things started to change.February 15, 2013 at 6:10 pm #173538spinninggoldParticipantRumple gets imprisoned renegotiating his deal with Cinderella (see 1×04)
Maleficent got the Dark curse from Regina as a trade for something else YEARS before that.
And between Snow and Charmings wedding and when the curse finally grabs hold is AT LEAST 9 months… seeing a certain someone needs to get born. Not so confusing, you just need to keep up 😆 I think there is a youtube movie called “All the Regina’s” or “All the Evil Queens” that is put in chronological order.

She’d given it away at some previous date, not thinking she’d ever need it. Why on earth would she want to leave FTL where she had so much power? But it was a valuable possession to trade with, so she traded it for the sleeping curse, which she had desperately needed at the time. It was only later, when the Charmings had set it up so she couldn’t hurt them in that world, that Rumple reminded her of that curse she’d given away, which could take them all to another world, where she could do whatever she wanted to punish the Charmings. So then she went to get it back.

Years before? How? Rumple only mentioned it to her on the day of their wedding. When she returned back to her castle she was on her way to Maleficents to get it back 🙄
Trust me I keep up 😉 and I’ve re watched the series but some things don’t add up. The 9 months explanation makes sense.

So you’re saying that Rumple was just reminding her? He had already given her the curse before? because to me it sounded like he was giving her an idea that he has something that will help her hurt them in another world and that something will be the curse..
However if that’s the case and he was just reminding her that’s fine. I’m not trying to be difficult.. I love this show like all of you and for the life of me cannot wait till SUNDAY!!
February 15, 2013 at 6:34 pm #173542spinninggoldParticipantYes he remnded her… It’s his curse, which he gave her for yet another favour, before she traded it again with Malificent.
Though I must confess they trade them like gaming cards.
Hmmm, I hopes that does not give ideas to the OuaT producers. Not interested in OuaT the Game 😆
February 15, 2013 at 6:39 pm #173544snowredParticipantWell then I would love to see a flashback of that. I mean I would think we would see a little about Maleficent and Aurora and the whole trading curses for curses… 😈
February 15, 2013 at 8:32 pm #173555MysteryKat25ParticipantIt wasn’t actually 9 months (we saw evidence to the contrary in Lady of the Lake 2×03) but it was within a few months definitely. I agree with those who have said that she had it once before, never thought she’d use it, traded it to her only friend (frenemy) and then went to get it back on the night of the Snowing wedding from Maleficent (we need more story on her!).
Then somehow it took at least a few months for her to either figure out how to do it and then need Rumple’s last minute help, or for Rumple to get imprisoned so she could find him (maybe she just had issues tracking him down for a bit? I’d have to look but I don’t think she’s wearing the same clothes when Henry Sr gives her the idea to ask Rumple and when she actually goes to see him so it might not be linearly – unless she just felt the need to change for the occasion and not just into a rat).
I’m interested to see some of that timeline explored a bit more just because there are definitely some gaps in it, but it does make more sense than it at first appears to.

Judging by the fact that Snow didn’t look pergnant at all at the wedding and she was giving birth – with minutes to spare – when the curse hit FTL 🙂
Had to be in the ballpark of 9 months. -
