About the Ruby Slippers, there’s a theory that Snow’s mother was actually the Witch Of The East (not the green one, the other one) and on her funeral day, she is actually wearing Ruby Slippers. This is around the time Jefferson went to search for the shoes in Oz. As he said, they’d moved on. The slippers had been with Queen Eva (remember the east witch’s name in DISNEY’S Oz the Great and Powerful was named EVAnora) so if he’d try to find them he’d have been looking in the wrong place. So it’s possible the shoes may be in the enchanted forest…its a stretch..
Just a crackpot theory >>
I find that I’m really intrigued by this; I don’t know how that affects Nealfire since he was in NL when Eva died and was buried, but I do like it. Especially since I once though that Cora might have made a deal with the Wicked Witch of the West. She told Hook that she had been to many lands and we’ve only seen her in two.

This may not be accurate, but I’m sure I’ve seen mention before that the Ruby Slippers are copyrighted to the studio that made the movie? They were originally silver in the books, changed to red for the movie so they’d stand out.
August 15, 2013 at 7:58 am #205016RumplesGirlKeymasterYes that’s true. I think that why they had Rumple just ask about the “slippers” and not specify about color.

Also, back when a lot of us were on the Nealfirepan train, we noted how green his apartment was. Well, knowing he is not PP though he had been to NL, maybe part of his journey escaping NL led through OZ or his path home will lead there?

I wonder if Neal ever started to work for PP and PP sent him on missions to collect things they need. Pixie dust could be used to take you to other worlds.

Maybe at some point Bae is able to escape because of where he is sent, but actually, PP planned it that way? Although my shipper side says it would be nice if Neal and Emma were not part of an actual person’s evil plan, but really did just meet by fate. So that’s why it is off timing for the curse being enacted, like midway through the curse.

August 15, 2013 at 8:20 am #205031RumplesGirlKeymasterI think no matter what, Emma and Neal were put together for a reason probably by PP–Henry. But that doesn’t negate that it’s TL or canon+endgame, if you’re inclined to ship that way.

The more I think about how Neal and Emma met and broke apart, and Regina got Henry, it feels obvious the writers envisioned that someone was pulling strings. We even had a puppet (August). The writers just not did want to reveal the master until now that it is time to meet PP.
