How does the land of Untold Stories work?

Charlotte was poisoned when she entered this land, and the poison killed her when she left it. It seems that she was actually on pause. For her to not die, she would have to live the same day, perhaps the same hour over and over again.

But, in season 5, Jeckyl and Hyde seemed to be living different days,  which implies that time is moving forward, so their lives are moving forward but in the way they want them to.

    Any theories?

I’m guessing time moves forward–the sun rises and sets–but biological time has stopped. It’s like the Curse of s1.  Astrological time was unaffected but human’s responses to astrological time changed, the only real difference is that the characters in the Land of Untold Stories are aware of and agree to this change. The Cursed people of SB did not.

This is my understanding as well.

Maybe the Land of Untold Stories resulted from some sort of test of the Dark Curse? Would definitely explain a few things.

Yes, I have also been wondering if the Dark Curse comes from this Land, or at least has the same origin as it. But then I remembered that the writers are not about to develop their mythology and world building further, only ruin it. So I guess it is just a coincidence ;(
