Hmm.. I don’t think so. We can always see August in a flashback. Or if you believe some current theories, Pinocchio and Bae were in NL together.

Am I the only one one who feels the only downside of this season was the reveal of what August showed Neal? I mean a typewriter that says something he just could have verbalized since they were alone? What was the point?? And to make it worse they made it all dramatic and stuff. Definitely the worse reveal in my book.
In Neal’s own words: “He (August) always had a knack for being cryptic”.
This was nothing new as far as August is concerned. He could’ve gone straight to Emma in season 1 as well to tell her that not only he was Pinocchio, the 7-year-old boy that found her as a baby, but did he? No. He played for 8 episodes the role of the charming mysterious stranger until the worsening of his “disease” forced him to that more direct approach . Same thing with Neal/Bae and the typewriter.
And it could be just me, but I was expecting the contents of the box to be something that even the most “muggle” of the outsiders would become a believer in magic, like a magical heart, so it came as a complete shock to me that it was a simple typed paper revealing that August knew Neal was Bae all along.

I hope so. If not, dangling plot hole.

😯 That’s a new one, especially since we know he came through to our world seconds before baby Emma did.

Took me forever to remember where I posted that theory buuuuut:

Unlike last season which had one continues story arc (Breaking the Curse) This season had two if not three story arcs. (1.Emma in FTL, 2. Cora in SB, 3. Home Office). I myself kind of got a little board with New FTL or Post apocalyptic FTL a I call it 😆 . But perhaps because it was a abandoned world and so it felt kind of weird to me at least (Not that it wasn’t enjoyable I just prefer past FTL since it feels more fantasy). But my point is perhaps more people got confused since the first season had a continuing arc all the way through while this one was split into mini-season’s almost. That’s just my two cents. (although my probably big disappointment is that during this season I really wanted Rumple to transform back into his past FTL self all gold skin high pitch voice and creepy. THAT WOULD BE SO AWSOME 😀 )

I understand wanting Emma to see her roots and bond with Snow, because she needed that but it does feel like our characters really haven’t had a chance to breathe because after one crisis is solved, there’s another one around the corner.
Hopefully, next season with our main cast going to Neverland, the storytelling will be simplified.

I think they could have done a great deal with that. It’s seems like Belle – and for that matter Ruby, is alone all the time except when Rumple is involved. It would have been very interesting to see a friendship based on something other than family ties.
Don't grow up. It's a trap.

I would have loved to see that too, but sadly, Meghan’s on a different show but she did say that she would be back to Once, once per year, so maybe we still could see Ruby back for a few episodes.
