It struck me last night that Regina had no clue who zelena was, yet she, unlike all the others except belle, knew that OZ was real. Since that is apparently not common knowledge in the EF, how did she know OZ was real but never met the WW? Maybe rumple told her?

She used to travel with Jefferson so I could see that she knew of Oz from the hat.

Also, she seems to know about Oz in a cultural sense. Like, she knows about it because she’s read the books. In SB when they began to put the pieces together, Regina said, “green smoke and flying monkeys? We know who is after us” because she’s familiar with the Oz myths from books/movies.

The Jefferson part makes sense.  Since all the other characters had the cultural knowledge of oz, but didn’t realize it was real.
