Rumple was adamant about knowing the name of SW and PC’s unborn baby’s name, we now know it was because after the curse, he would need to hear the name in order to get his memory back, which he did. He used the drop of true love on the curse when he wrote it. He referred to that as a ‘safety valve’. Could be, that’s what he did in order to be able to find the child of the Savior, Emma…used some sort of ‘safety valve’.

August “I understand (that’s how it has to happen– these + a few more words in the middle of the sentence afterwards are drowned out by the score & I cant quite make them out), I cant do anything while my body …”
Mother Superior “Just don’t do anything rash- Please, just tell me you’ll come to me before you think of doing anything else, then things will work out”
August ” Thank you”
Mother Superior “Oh Kay”
Since August was keeping well away from Gep at this stage & he had just been into Rumples store/office, it follows they are talking about August trying to get the knife & so Mother Superior lied to Gold/Rumple when he came to her directly afterwards (not very nun like! lol) ….. I cant see how else it would fit, unless he was trying to get someone (aka mysterious stranger) to come to SB at that stage- but I doubt it, as he was focused almost entirely on not becoming a man puppet at this point :p
Mother Superior had to have been aware of the curse in order to have had ‘that’ type of conversation with him (esp with the ‘while my body’ comment in there), or even if it was about Emma not believing- either way it appears Mother Superior has had her memories intact to some extent, if not from the very beginning then from at least when Emma arrived, so I’m thinking maybe if Rumple/Gold didn’t give MM the book, then the BF/Mother Superior would have.
Something else I just thought of was maybe their ‘religion’ had her following/waiting for the savour, maybe she had a way of keeping who Emma was with her, which allowed her to track her & so find Henry.

I mean, that would make Rumpelstiltskin, Henry’s other grandfather. 😆 Which would be so funny. But I like the idea. I think Rumpel/Mr. Gold would make a great grand father and Belle would spoil Henry so much too.

So with that, he needed assistance from a 3rd party who 1. Knew about the existence of fairy tale land 2. Knew about the curse 3. Could have contact with both Storybrooke and the outside world.

Which is why I’m sure BF had something to do with it- that conversation with August while the curse was in-effect is just to knowledgeable- I mean, they could have just shown August leaving BF but instead they chose to have him converse with BF & then drown out some of the dialogue….That leads me to believe that this conversation will come into effect later on….esp given we find out who gave MM the book this season 😉

Agreed. The conversation she had with August was just too shady and there HAD to have been a significance for it. I take it as proof that she knew what was up. If August was gonna go to someone in town who could help him with anything he needed to do, it stands to reason he’d have tracked down Blue Fairy. Even if he didn’t know she remembered, she was still someone powerful who had been his friend in FTL, and who still held a powerful position in SB, so it’d make sense if he went to her in desperation. If she had her memories, she would have been quick to reveal that to him, so they’d be able to work together. And they were clearly conspiring in that scene IMO.

The other thing to consider about the blue fairy is she is possibly the only one who knows why Rumple created the curse and his future intentions. It’s not out the realm of possibility that she retained her memories I mean we don’t know what final preparations were made before the curse hit. Maybe she had some kind of safety net like Rumple had with Emma’s name waking him up? Maybe that conversation was muddled to conceal August’s identity at the time? It did seem weird before the curse was broken that of the most powerful magical people of the EF the blue fairy who was suppose to be the most powerful was the only one that supposedly didn’t have her memories back.

I’m basically just waiting for official confirmation that BF had her memories all this time. Of course she did something to protect herself. At your worst time, when you are at the lowest of the low, you can only count on yourself to dig yourself at out trouble. BF seemed to be smart enough to know to count on herself.

Yep- I agree with you there too.
While I doubt it will be answered with a straight yes or no (or maybe even asked, since it may give to much of a future ep away lol), I sent in a request for this very question be be put forward to H&K in the Q&A segment of their weekly podcast 😉 -
