So, it seems that the defeat of the Black Fairy is the final battle.
Any theories on how to defeat her?
If we were to use continuity, we already have one method:Use the darkness-wipe-out-potion that Regina made for Snow and Charming.
However, I don’t think the story will go in that direction.
Here is one theory:
Emma and the Black Fairy (or Blue and Black with Emma’s help) need to merge as one. So it would not be a case of defeating her, but rather keeping her in check, in balance with good (like Jeckyl and Hyde, Regina and EQ, and the ending to the Dark Crystal). This would also be continuity.
I am also half-theorising that ”every action has an equal and opposite reaction” would come into play.
What are your theories?

April 14, 2017 at 9:43 am #336080RumplesGirlKeymasterI really like the idea that Blue and Black were originally one person who split into light and darkness and that they need to merge back together into one being. The light living within the dark and the dark thriving with the help of the light. It’s sooooooo meaty and symbolic for this show. That’s my dream ending!
The non-dream ending is that Rumple or Emma kill Black Fairy with some sort of heretofore unmentioned object.

Wow this is a great theory. Talk about it being relevant to this season too. Love it.

But, likely getting this. Please don’t give me this. No more random objects. Lats episode was good. I don’t want anymore stinkers now til the end.

Then in Rumple’s shop where she found it. Then she fought Gideon with it. Then with Beowulf. Then using it to take away Blue’s power. Now to create a portal for Black Fairy to get here. When you think about it, this is like one of the most powerful objects ever on OUAT. Now that Black Fairy is in town, was that the end game for Hrunting? Will we see Emma fighting someone in a hooded cloak with the sword again? (I haven’t been reading filming spoilers since the show is like about toe end so if you know, please don’t tell me!). Will the sword be used in some other way again? Can they use the sword to defeat the Black Fairy?
Let’s put it this way. I don’t think these writers are smart enough to write the theory onceaholic came up with, merging Blue and Black together. So then, other than some magic object a la Olympian Crystal, is there another way you cna destroy the source of all the darkness (aka Black Fairy). Maybe something we have seen on the show that they could bring back instead of a new random item? Any thoughts bc I can’t think of any clues that have been given. Will it have something to do with the author? Can Henry save Emma this time?
April 14, 2017 at 11:01 am #336088hjbauParticipantI don’t like the idea that the Blue and Black Fairy are like the two Reginas where there is the “evil” side and the “good” side. It was dumb when they did it with Regina because it was just a way to make Regina not responsible for her actions. Anything that makes characters not responsible for their actions just doesn’t work for me.
If they Blue Fairy is just changing her appearance and pretending to be the Blue Fairy who she murdered back in the day when she is really the Black Fairy or the other way around, that would be fine. I would rather the Blue Fairy actor be the real person and she have murdered the Black Fairy who was actually the “good” one.
I think that would fit too, with the Blue Fairy taking that empty story book. The Blue Fairy having the Black Fairy’s wand. Then just her general shadiness.
Most likely they are just different people though and Emma and Hook kissing will for some reason just break the curse and then the Black Fairy will just go away because of reasons. I think the Black Fairy being “defeated” needs to have something to do with Gideon and Belle and Rumpel and not to do with anything Emma does. They will have some conversation and it will be fine.

I like it too, but I doubt they’re going to do that.

As fascinating and amazing this theory is….wouldn’t that make Rumple the son of the Blue Fairy as well? And to be honest, I’ve always had a feeling Adam and Eddy wanted to drag Blue Fairy into the family tree and that would be a pretty great way to do it.

We saw that Tink lost her wings when Blue stopped believing in her. Maybe fairies, including the black fairy can die or at least be made much more vulnerable to attack if no one believes in them, if their existence is “denied” (re: info for upcoming episode). Not sure if the writers will do this, but thought I would put it out there.
again, anyone got any theories?
@WickedRegal good point. But we have had the whole Zelena-got-pregnant-after-raping-Robin plotline and the rape was never properly addressed (and many other ridiculous plotlines) so who knows what the writers will come up with…they can’t be trusted to be sensible.Keeper of Regina's bravery
April 17, 2017 at 10:25 am #336312sierraleoneParticipantThe Blue and Black fairies could be sisters if the writers wanted to drag Blue into the family tree. Though who knows how biological sisters would happen in a group that is not permitted to fall in love, we still don’t understand the genesis of Fairies.
Maybe Blue is Black’s mother, and that is why she is so strict on the love thing 😀

Someone has to lay all those dwarf eggs? Maybe the males are born dwarves and the females are born fairies. Blue and Black hatched from the same egg. Or were born from the same baby laugh or whatever it is :3
