I feel like you, or perhaps it was many other people but not you, said that if they did decide to reveal Sneaky Fairy it would only be because they are appeasing the fandom, just like why they brought in Black Fairy at all.
Well, first, I’ve never said that. Second, I’ve long theorized that Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky but gave up on it because it seemed unlikely given how little Blue Fairy is used, even lately with a whole fairy storyline. Third, no they obviously never planned it from the start but that doesn’t make a story line bad if it’s done well, which is exactly what I said (“if they do it well”). If they execute Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky well and it doesn’t feel hamfisted then of course I’ll applaud it. I’ve always applauded something that I feel was well executed and stayed true to any of the thesis’ of the show

It was done fine in the show but I thought, and I could be wrong, that you felt they only brought Black Fairy in bc it’s something the fandom wanted and since the fans wanted Rumple’s mother, they decided to make it the same person and you did not like that, at least I thought.

It’s never been hinted at, he had no reaction to the mention of the Black Fairy back in S3, but OF COURSE she’s his mother! This is total fan service because everyone keeps pestering the writers about Rumple’s mother. It doesn’t matter to the plot at large, it doesn’t matter to Rumple’s character because it’s never been hinted at after SIX years, it doesn’t matter except as shock value and make the audience stop asking those annoying questions during Hot Seats.” RG
Pretty much disagree with everything here considering where the plot is now and how good the dynamic between her and Rumple was in the last episode.

But that’s 100% different from what we’re discussing. I didn’t like that they brought in the Black Fairy as Rumple’s mother. I didn’t think that was well done in that episode. Also, what I think is fine = / = what you think is fine because TV is subjective. I’m allowed to say “I did not like this”

Yes, it’s a good dynamic now largely because Bobby and Jamie are allowed to play off each other for more than 5 seconds and there are real stakes, like Gideon, which there were not when 610 aired. It was not when the revealed the twist that BF is Rumple’s mother, at least in my opinion. The show has been hinting at Sneaky Fairy for a long time so if they did suddenly reveal it, I’d enjoy it.
And I’m not sure what this has to do with anything given we’re talking about Blue, not Black Fairy, and again I’m allowed to not like things and I’m allowed to like things, and I’m allowed to change my mind if I feel the story is well done, as I have done in the past and usually will acknowledge.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 20, 2017 at 12:15 pm #336783thedarkonedearieParticipantWell I was just comparing it to Blue bc to me, at this point, it feels like it would be out of nowhere given how little they’ve done with Blue so far. And to me, it would feel a little like they are just appeasing the fanbase. And I was curious when you said that you would applaud them if they did reveal sneaky fairy since you did not like that they randomly said Black Fairy was Rumple’s mother and you said that was for the fans. I mean sure, there have been times when Blue did stuff which left things open for interpretation, but she’s never explicitly done anything bad. Everything has sort of just been speculation. So to me, revealing sneaky fairy would be amazing, but just as out of left field as Black being Rumple’s mother.

Ah well I’ve never thought Blue was on the up and up; she’s always come across as shady to me. I popularized the whole Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky saying ’round these parts. And to do this day if Jeremy mentions her to me I try to convince him that she’s up to no good (pretty sure if she turns out to be sneaky, I’m supposed to get cookies from him….)
I’ve just lost heart that they’d actually go there since Blue is popping up once an arc, if that, and usually just to spout something before being rendered ineffective. But hey, if they go there and it’s done well, I’ll totally acknowledge it.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 20, 2017 at 12:35 pm #336792thedarkonedearieParticipantIntroducing a new character like Tiger Lily, and incorporating her randomly into Black Fairy’s past makes me think they aren’t going to give Blue an important role (aka Sneaky Fairy) in Black Fairy’s flashback. But I really hope I’m wrong. If “the darkness is coming” according to Black Fairy, what on Earth does she mean? If it’s a final battle, I picture people on both sides battling a war. And she seems like she’s waiting for allies or something. THAT makes me think perhaps others we didn’t think were dark, are going to turn out to be dark and she’s just waiting to reveal them for the final battle.
April 20, 2017 at 12:39 pm #336794RumplesGirlKeymasterYeah the finale battle language is tricky because a battle tends to mean two opposing sides that are equal in all respect except their philsophy. But all we have right now is Black (with a controlled Gideon). Even Rumple, the Dark One, is against her albeit for personal reasons not because he disagrees with her morally.
Then again, Black seems rather full of herself, as if she does’t need allies.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 20, 2017 at 12:51 pm #336797thedarkonedearieParticipantExactly, like this isn’t a final battle if it’s just her vs the world haha. The fact that this affects other realms is intriguing. Like if they have other people from other realms come to storybrooke to fight in this battle on the good side, she’s got to have people on the bad side too right? But honestly who is there? Not Zelena, not Regina, and now not Rumple. Although her being so sure that he will switch to her side before all is said and done makes me think Rumple could switch allegiances. But I just don’t think they are going to go that route with him. So literally who else could she get to help her. Gideon will likely get his heart back too at some point. EQ is gone. Jafar is defeated. I don’t know of any filmng spoilers but basically this all feels like some good people may join her side. If it’s just her vs everyone else, I kinda would be a little disappointed.
April 20, 2017 at 12:55 pm #336799RumplesGirlKeymasterI’m going to be disappointed if there wasn’t a battle
Before this show ends I want one epic, giant, Harry Potter style magic battle.
