efore this show ends I want one epic, giant, Harry Potter style magic battle.

I mean that’s sort of what they are trying to set us up for right?  I mean the last time there was a “battle” going on where there were little mini fights going on between different people at the same time was when the gang met up with the Lost boys in Neverland and fought them for a bit.  Which was awesome.  We got Hook fighting Pan’s right hand man, Snow shooting arrows, Charming getting hit with dreamshade, Regina throwing fireballs.  That’s what needs to happen.  But will their budget allow for it?  That’s such a concern.  I’m really hoping they saved enough money in their CGI budget to do a proper battle between multiple people.  If they didn’t, then this “battle” is going to blow.

Iv’e also never seen two characters on the screen doing magic at the same time.  Again it’s gotta be a budget issue but if we’re going to get a Harry Potter type battle, there needs to be multiple people doing magical stuff at the same time.

I’ve also found a new drinking game.  every time they say “final battle” you drink.  They said it like 7 times last episode.  They couldn’t hype this up anymore if they tried.

I thought it would happen in 4B when they talked about war, bit then it didn’t so I’m not very hopeful.

Emma and Regina do magic on screen together all the time. If you learn anything from the swan queen fans, it’s that.

Well other than streaming beams of light from their hands.  That they have shown.  I’m talking like someone firing a fireball but then somebody else firing something back to deflect the fireball.  Stuff like that.

    Wellllll

    from the latest EW article

“In our minds, the Final Battle is probably not what you think it is,” Kitsis says. “Like any good battle, sometimes it’s not a battle in the literal sense of a fight.” Horowitz adds: “It is a battle, it is different than the ones we’ve seen before, and it is very personal to Emma.”

Yeah this is going to suck.  Just do an actual battle.  Like come on.

It’s not going to be some symbolic one, is it? Like “Emma has to battle to finally overcome her abandonment issues!” or something like that. You could argue that Black Fairy is the embodiment of abandonment by separating children from their parents.

I prefer the symbolic battles. Fairy tales are morality plays; they have to be about something. Otherwise, the show’s dramatic moments are just glowy hands and intestinal gas pain scowls.
